- Kim| 2 repliesThey canceled a card due to possible fraud. Then applied the most recent payment (well above the minimum payment) to the old card number. I got a call saying we were past due. Talked to the lady who wasn't much help. Actually hoping someone else calls back, maybe I'll get better answers

- Caller: Citi Sears Credit Card
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- lajmhWhether it's a scam or not, my personal theory is an attempt to collect money from people who DO have a Sears credit card or from people who they "think" have a Sears credit card. I believe the root cause is to obtain money to help the post-bankruptcy process.
If Sears doesn't make these calls, then there is a good chance Sears will not survive.- Caller: Sears Credit Card.
- Call type: Debt collector
- Cindy replies to No MoneyThey aren't contacting you though. Companies can call and verify employment based on the debt you owe. Which would be why they are asking for HR
- Cindy replies to PMYou can give them the number they called. It's probably just a wrong number given to them by someone. It's not a scam it's Citibank. They handle lots of credit cards
- Not True replies to PAY YO BILLSJust letting you know that I get calls from this number and I have NEVER had a Sears card in my life. People seem to be fed up because they are getting these calls even when they don’t have a card or debt.
