- PLA| 4 repliesOften, people with credit problems give out false phone numbers. This is why some of you are getting calls even though you do not have an account. For the rest..pay your CC bills on time !!
- who cares !! replies to PLAok doc CC !!!
- BBI kept getting calls from this # as well. Turns out it IS listed on the Citibank website for collections. I called the main # and explained that I do not owe anything & that I had my phone # changed a few months ago. Was transferred to collections and explained this and it turned out that my last name was NOT the one associated with this account - even though it was the same phone #. The lady @ Citibank was very nice and understood and took my number off of the collections list effective in about 2 hours from now ~
- No Money| 1 replyP.S. They are now calling my work non stop and asking for the Human Resource Department. They are asking for PERSONAL info. I told them they cannot call me at work but they continue to do it EVERYDAY.

- Genny| 6 repliesI receive 10 to 12 calls per day. I do have a Sears credit card and the balance is less than 300.00. However, my husband, age 51, was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease and he has less than nine months to live. I am doing my best to at least keep our house for a s long as he lives. I explained this to the woman who called and she asked if our next payment of 15.00 would be on time. I told her 300.00 is the least of my worries. Let them continue to call. Who cares????

- rum runnerCalling on Sunday. Glad to find out who they are here. Don't hace Citi or Sears account. Will gladly answer the phone next time.
- rileycat| 1 replyThese callers from Citi and Sears are the worst! I have been getting them on my cell for weeks. I just dont answer it!! I even went so far to have one of the numbers they use blocked!!. I have found that it does no good to talk to them. They will call over and over until your payments are caught up. They do not care what your personal situation is. You can explain to them in detail and tell them when you will be making the next payment and they will still call again! As for payment plans where they get your debit card number-- NO WAY!!! My daughter did that and they deducted the payment before the date she set up and caused a problem with insufficient funds and she had to pay a fee!! I feel no reason to discuss anything with them..it makes no difference. I am sending my payments monthly.. and hope to have this account paid in full by the end of the year.

- rileycat replies to GennyYes! Who cares! How heartless for someone to even ask about a 15.00 payment when you are dealing with something so heart breaking!! God Bless you and your family !
- chrisAnnoying calls started 3 days ago from 9am thru 9pm and same on weekends.
- Caller: citibank
- safi replies to GennyHeartless, selfcentered collectors. They worry about their pannies.
- steveAnswering these calls are like waving your 5th amendment rights; totally unnecessary and ill advised. My Citi account was two days past due when they called and I answered. The man acted very interested in my financial situation, and I explained when I would be able to pay and nothing more despite his tactically rude comments. Since that day I get called at least eight times a day every day from 8AM to sometimes 10PM. If they get rid of their collections department they could pay off my 200 dollar debt in no time with the money they save on salaries. It's just an exercise in persistence, that's how I look at it, but I'm a glass half full kinda guy lol.

- BrianThey are relentless. I was in a car crash (not my fault,) and wound up losing my job over it, plunging me deep into debt. I enrolled in a debt settlement program and Citi is the only one that hounds me. They ignore the Limited Power of Attorney I sent them stating that all future contact is to be made to the law firm handling the debt. I've explained multiple times that the only alternative to a debt settlement was bankruptcy, in which case they wouldn't get any money. I'm doing the best I can. Doesn't seem to matter to them.

- Melissa| 5 repliesThis is a scam.
They call me everyday, a few times a day, usually when I'm asleep.
I dont know who to get rid of them, but it would be nice. - Totally irritated| 2 repliesWas getting these calls 8 -10 times a day on my cell a few months ago. I kept calling them and telling them to remove my number because I didn't have anything to do with them. Blocked my phone so their calls can't come through. Calls finally stopped and guess what? They started again this week! 3 today. Try to call and explain to them they have the wrong number and they hang up. They want my name and address and home phone number! NOT happening. I told them that I have never had, don't have and never will have a Sears or Citi account and my phone numbers are registered on the do not call list (like that means something....). One finally talked to me and told me she was removing the number and she hadn't even asked what it was!! Then she told me there was no record of that number in her files.....

- AgitatedI get phone calls from this number every day. Regardless of whether or not I answer I get an automated message telling me sorry they couldn't reach me and to call 18003882200 regarding my citi card. I know the 18007331116 is collections from sears however I don't have a sears card. I do have a Macy's card and when I called the number they wanted me to they transferred me to "Macy's" I was under the assumption that American express handled my Macy's American express account. Maybe I'm wrong. The woman that I got from "Macy's" became very rude when I would not give her my personal information because the number I called didn't match the number on the back of my macys card and said she couldn't find me which if it was Macy's, they have my number and they could have looked it up. Either some a$$ gave a fake number and it happened to be mine because 18007331116 is legit or it's some sort of scam. Either way. Only give information to numbers listed on the back of your card. I just wish these idiots would stop calling.

- JohnThey called last week and left a callback number so I called them back. They had no idea why they called. They just now called again but said nothing when I picked up.

- NoMoreCitiBankCiti uses multiple numbers and very poor practices. When they took over my Sears account, somehow my payment was always 'received' 1 day late - even though I always paid my bill within a day or two after I received my statement. They even did this after I started paying electronically. Only after I showed them proof from my bank records of the payment being successfully processed weeks before the due date, my payment was still posting to my account 1 day late! I paid the small balance off over a year ago and am careful to monitor that it remains at $0 balance. The last due date was January 31, but with $0 balance there's nothing to pay, right? 8 ish this morning, I get a call from this number. After nearly an hour on the phone with the supervisor (who verified over the phone that my account has been at a $0 balance since January 2010), I thought the matter was cleared up. Nope! Five more calls from 2 different numbers at home and 1 at work - for my zero balance Sears card. Even if I had a balance, I would be only 2 days late at this point. I am canceling my account with Citi. There are too many options out there to be putting up with this!
