UN ANSWERED CALL

I keep getting hang-up calls from this number 1-800-733-2767 before 8:30 AM and after 9:15PM.  These
annoying "nuisance" calls have got to stop immediately.

I am a regular blood donor and if these calls are indeed legitimately from the American Red Cross
I would be inclined to never donate blood again because I get very anxious about hang-up calls.
If the Red Cross identified itself I would be more than happy to return their call and schedule an
appointment to donate.  However if the Red Cross is indeed behind these hang-up calls I feel
my only recourse to stop the calls is to not donate blood at all which would be a really shame
because in the area in which I live there is often a "critical shortage" of my type blood and when
I receive that particular call from the red cross I will alway quickly respond and donate.

Whoever is investigating this number please post if it is indeed from the American Red Cross or if
someone else has hacked into their phone system.

It's American Red Cross. I'm a regular blood donor, so it's no surprise that they call me. They don't leave messages. I e-mailed them via their website and asked to be removed from their call list, and they obliged. They said it might take 2 week for the calls to stop coming (I guess they need time to distribute the request to their operators?).

I see a lot of people complaining about getting the calls, but nobody saying what they did to get them to stop.

It is Red Cross. What have you done to stop the calls?  Do you really think that withholding a vital resource is the mature thing to do? Have you tried contacting them?

You have to tell THEM.

Screw the red cross if your going to spam dial me at least leave a message. irritating because any other company you could report

It's sad that when you give blood,the thanks you get is an annoying phone call from Red Cross Telemarketer???

I just got a call from 866-764-4970 and didn't answer it.  Less than 1 minute later I got a call from 800-733-2767.  No message is ever left and it is very annoying. Who is calling me and why? How do I stop these calls?

Have received at least two calls a day/night starting on 2/15/12.  Do not recognize the number so I haven't picked up.  Posts say its from the American Red Cross however, I have not given my cell number to that organization..

It's the Red Cross and it's heinous and annoying!  They never stop! They are rude, they put a guilt trip on you if you say you can't give, and they refuse to give up because they think they have the moral high ground. I get a call once a day, and after begging with several people to take me off the list, I just stop picking up the phone.  It's made me stop giving money to the red cross, and stop giving blood altogether. Shame on them for their relentless, awful tactics.  I've also reported them to the FTC, the BBB, and anyone else I could think of. Worst non-profit organization on earth.

glad I looked this up I do donate blood so I guess that's where they got my number. I just wish they would leave a message they's get futher with me on that one. I'll have to talk or message them about this

These nitwits called me at 4:56AM on a SATURDAY morning.  Thanks for waking my family up!

My son did a good thing and gave blood at school. Since then, we've been getting constant calls, one at 4:43 a.m. Sat morning. Unfortunately I can no longer support such an arrogant organization even though the cause is obviously worthwhile. These [***] are never getting another drop of blood!

I asked them to remove my number as they have called at least 100 times and they leave no phone messages. It is the Red Cross.

These people are like vampires. No matter how many times I tell them to remove my number, they still cal begging for my blood! So annoying!

The Red Cross must see some benefit to their relentless telemarketing activities but .  Giving the Red Cross my cell phone number when I donated blood was a huge mistake, I just thought it was important for them to be able to get in touch with me.  I now get 3-4 calls per week.  I have asked to be taken off the list.  I have made up all kinds of diseases.  Nothing has worked.  

There is an Office of the Ombudsman for the Red Cross in D.C.  I am not sure if this is the right way to get off the list, but you can contact the office at (202) 303-5399 or 1-866-667-9331 (toll-free).  Red Cross probably won't appreciate the phone calls, but hey, maybe a taste of its own medicine will do some good.
