Same thing here, I received the 8 day cruise notice + bonus airfare. I called and was given the appt options. When I asked if it was a vacation club the guy acted dumb, "Vacation club?- I don't know what you mean". Oh well, I'm sure it is. I thought about just tossing away 60 - 90 minutes to see what they have to say. I'm sure the cruise dates are very limited though to the point that people just give up. I've heard that you have to pay taxes on the prize value. As long as it's not until after booking but I'm not into paying anything up front and not being able to redeem the prize. I'm probably not going to waste my time although it would be interesting to hear what they have to say since they're close by. I've been to a couple of these and received amusement park passes, free hotel stays that were on the up and up.

You who are reporting the Carnival Cruise for 2 and Airfare for 2 are going to love this one. Received the same card. 877-356-2618.

Said I need to call within 48 hours, but the card was not postmarked for the date it was sent.

I do not know if I missed that 48 hour window to call for the good deal .... Because for the LAST 7 DAYS I was not home. I WAS ON A CARNIVAL CRUISE SHIP BETWEEN BALTIMORE AND BERMUDA.

I'm going to contact Carnival Cruise Lines and see if they know about this.

now, in addition to sending postcards, they are calling and leaving you a message that you have been selected as one of fifty winners from a sweepstakes entry that you filled out at a local mall or business.  to receive your "guaranteed" 1 of 4 gifts, you must go to the holiday inn on wisconsin ave, dc at 4:30, 6 or 8pm to see if you won either 1) a ford escape hybrid, 2) all inclusive 3 night trip to vegas, floriday, etc, 3) $2,500 cash or 4) a 32" flat screen TV.  the scammer (divine getaways in paradise) proceeds to schedule you for one of their sessions in dc or woodbridge, along with a VIP# to bring with you.  i enrolled in the 8pm session for today (right).  the number i was given is 1-888-648-2798 ext 221.

Divine Getaway left message on home phone that I'd filled out a card and won a 2011 Toyota Hybrid and that I had to call to claim prize. I called and was told that I had to travel to Holiday Inn to claim and to bring 2 forms of id: license and a debit card (and was implored to not give it to anyone, just "flash" to the person @ front desk - HUH? I just said "ok" - but get this, I got a claim # and was told I would be given a scratch-off ticket that would reveal that was a guaranteed winner of 1 of 4 prizes: the 2011 Toyota Hybrid, a cruise, $2.500 cash or something else (I forgot). I lied and said I'd show up at 4...

yep,another one here. An 8 day cruise and if you contact them with in 48 hrs a complimentary flight. Were in Seattle so looks like they have made itr from one coast to the other~!

I got a postcard in the mail from Divine Getaways. I went to a meeting in Greenville, SC. They promised me a cruise for two to attend the meeting. I talked with three different men. The third man by the name of Rick. He supposedly knew my ex boss the chief of sled in South Carolina. He stated that was his cousin. He finally got the offer down to $2299. I accepted his offer and used a card. I got suspicious and called my bank. Security told me the draft was going to Paradise Escapes Travel. The money had not been taken out. I got in touch with Rick which I doubt is his name told him I wanted this transaction cancelled. He said I do not know how this happened. He called me the next day and said Tammy was redirecting the transaction back to my account. I went ahead and cancelled the card before transaction was to take place. Paradise Escapes Travel has a lot of frauds against the company. I told Rick I had dealt with my Divine Getaways. And not with Paradise Escapes Travel..
I think this fraud from a US mail standpoint and I think the Federal Trade Commission should be notified to check out my Divine Getaways and Paradise Getaways Travel and turn the information over to the Federal Criminal Investigation along with mail frauds. The Federal Trade Commission should be notified that these two companies my Divine Getaways Travel an Paradise Escapes Travel should be checked out and prosecuted.

I did find it a little funny that the ports of call on mine would not be possible due to many cruse ships do not fit through the panama canal and even then would have to be going full steam ahead to even dock at them, let alone let anyone out.

We are now planing 2 vacation in December so far we have outstanding  customer service with this company

My husband & I went to a Divine Getaways presentation Tues eve at the Steamboat Inn, Lanc. PA.  We bought into the program at 1485.00 w/the yearly 319.00.  We found it odd at the very end after we agreed to sign up and gave our credit card number were we given details such as, the return stipulation of 3days, however we could not view the website for 7days to see all there is to offer.  So, by then, our return policy expires and if we had gone into the data base to see what was available, to only see that it was not what they portrayed themselves to offer, we were out of luck and out of 4185.00  We went home to further check into this company to only find out that the BBB rating is F on both places of location we checked into.  Also, they change names and change places and do not deliver what they promise.  There is an investigation going on in Texas on them.  Also, when they went to show us their database, the computer would not work.  Also, our prize was not there but said they would send it to me.  We'll see...This is a total scam and has been confirmed.  Do your homework on the internet.  The same names we dealt with were mentioned in another complaint form such as this.   Call your credit card company and tell them that this a fraud and scam and have them stop payment on your card and cancel your card altogether and reissue you a new credit card number.  Mine was done overnight.  I would also protect yourself w/identity theft and contact www.equifax.com,www.experian.com and www.transunion.com.  Do it right away if your charges are still pending or else you may be out your money.

Get out and get out fast......it is a scam!  We fell for the presentation and like you, we wondered why we couldn't access the data base until 7days after the seminar.  We had 3days to cancel but by then you are out of luck when you finally get to see the data base and apparently it is junk what they offer.  Numerous complaints of how dirty their places are.  Not to mention they do not deliver the extensive data base that they claim to have.  Then it is too late.  They have your money.  No way should you not be able to peruse a company's website before your contract expires.  What is wrong w/looking?  When we were there, their computer was "not working" and so we could not see what they had available to get an idea.  How convenient.  If you charged your cc, I would stop payment and get a new cc number.  Contact the scam department and alert them of your cc.  Otherwise, they will not stop the payment from going through.  One website said that even though they sent the packet back, they were not refunded.  It is ify.  Good luck.  I was just in time.

I am sorry, in my last response, I put the wrong amount I paid.....I paid $4185.00 instead of 1485.00.  Big difference.  Good luck..

We got a vacation program from divine getaways in Washington, DC where we had to drive to a run-down office in one of the most dangerous parts of Anacostia.  There, WE had to sit through a 2 hour "presentation", were coerced into giving our credit card numbers and other financial information for a "deal" which was bordering on criminal.  We were subject to such high-pressure sales tactics that leaving with anything short of signing a sales agreement would have been extremely difficult to do.

We just got back from a week in Maui and had a great condo disaster!  The hotel was 12-miles inland and overlooked a parking lot.  The room smelled like smoke, and dirty socks.  The linens had a grayish tint to them and had a texture similar to burlap.  There were also questionable stains on the pillow cases.  The staff was a rude as could possibly be and when they weren't being unhelpful, they were non-existent.

We joined this company to save money. So far we love it.  Oh, wait a minute, I am talking about our credit union!  As far as this organization which sends us unsolicited junk mailers designed to look like they are coming from major cruise lines or airlines,  I would definitely be wary.  Sixteen pages of complaints on this website alone must mean something truly is wrong with this offer.

We are now planing 2 vacation in December so far we have outstanding  customer service with this company.  Notice I how said "so far".  I even mentioned it in the paragraph above.  I know that we are being setup to be swindled but what the hey!  Life is short, Live for the day!

Got the same postcard in mail yesterday and will attend if they call me back and tell me where to hear the good vacation news and discounted travel that only they can offer for a short amount of limited time! I started going to such giveaway promotional deals over 30 years ago,back then they where for free gifts (tv 's gift cards to local buis--ect ect, Last time was two years ago and was held at the Holiday Inn in a town called Rocky Hill,CT. My wife and I where with about 12 other couples and where seated in a small room that could of been used during the day by the cleaning staff. they started off at $ 8000 to join and after 90 mminutes with three different sales persons who looked like paroles,with bad breath, teeth and suits the jioning price was at $1,500 and still no takers. We where the last ones to leave but wanted the free 4 nights 5 days vacation in Florida that they promised us. We were told to show ID and a major credit card to them. We didn't and told the Big Boss Lady,Who looked like Hillary Clinton they where a fraud.She sneered at us opened a briefcase and handed us and envelope saying it was good meeting us and have a great trip

I got one as well with a west palm beach fl, and a permit number 3950. The toll free number on my post card is 855-336-5970.  Like others, I am glad I googled this to warn others. I too am throwing this in the trash.

I received the exact same postcard in the Houston area.  My wife and I attended the meeting with no intention of purchasing since we have had bad experiences with timeshare (and this is too similar).  We attended the meeting just to receive the Complimentary 8 Day/8-Night Cruise for 2 with an outside cabin.  However, I didn't make a copy of the postcard...and once we got home, I realized the voucher didn't mention anything about an "outside cabin".  With the port fees and taxes that we would need to pay, this won't be such a great deal if we don't get the outside cabin.  Devine Getaways is now stating it is up to Celebrity Productions to honor that even though Devine Getaways is the one who promised it in the postcard and during the presentation.  A rep at Celebrity Productions just told me to tell Carnival we were promised an outside cabin...not sure how that would help.

Any suggestions how I ensure that we receive an outside cabin for no extra charges as promised?

The postcard was cleverly prepared, allowing the causual reader to read-in what is not there and to overlook what is there!  What you might read in: 1) That "Grand Opening in your area" means something other than that the mailing you received is the Grand Opening in your area; 2) That you have won something; 3) That "Fly a US AIRLINES" means a US Airways flight;  3) That your failing to "CALL WITHIN 48 HOURS" means that you will lose something. What you may overlook: 1) The sender is not identified on the postcard; 2) There are restrictions and details not appearing on the postcard (BINGO!); That the sender's promotion is not even affiliated, let alone sponsored or supported, by Carnival Cruise Lines; That you must pay the sizeable deposits, charges, taxes, and fees. (In other words, you will be paying handsomely for this celebration. The only ones celebrating, however, will be the knuckleheads you suckered you.)
