Recieved the same card that most of you have. I'm glad I decided to google it first before I called now I know and I have thrown the card in the trash.

I received a postcard yesterday for a complimentary 8 day cruise aboard a Carnival ship.  It also says I will receive 2 round trip airfares if I call within 48 hours.  The toll free number, 800-813-6994, appears at the bottom of the card followed by "Mon-Sun - 9AM-9PM".  Today is Sunday, so I called just to see what the pitch was.  A recorded message stated that the office is closed on Sundays.  The card is now in the trash.

I received almost the same card (postage paid West Palm Beach, FL, permit 3950) titled "Carnival Fly a US Airlines" saying:
"In celebration of our Anniversary in your area, you have been selected to receive a Complimentary 8 day/7 night Cruise for 2...Call within 48 hrs, you will also receive as a bonus 2 round trip airfares leaving from or going to any major airport  in the continental U.S.!!
    Name of Traveler: my name
Port of Call 1:  my city
Port of Call 2:  Freeport, Bahamas
    Port of Call 3:  St.Thomas. "

I'm sure that's just spam and hunting for fools. Free cheese...

I'm south OC too and got the postcard in the mail yesterday.  I wasn't going to call the number but was curious as to what it was so I looked up the number online and found this site.  Based on what I've read here, the postcard is now in the trash.

I have to admit, when I got the post card yesterday in the mail (postage paid West Palm Beach, FL, permit 3950) I was pretty excited as I've been on 3 Carnival cruises and I figured they were recognizing my loyalty. Then, my spidy senses started tingling. So, I looked it up and was brought here. I should have known it was too good to be true.

I just received one of those postcards in the mail as well. I called the 800 number and it came back to a company called Divine Getaways. They gave me dates of when my husband and I can hear their presentations. They will be at the Embassy Suites in Anaheim, CA April 6, 7, 8 & 9th. If anyone is interested in busting them in person!

Same card (logos, promises, "not a timeshare", etc), but refers to L.A., Calif.
Fine print: "this promotion is not sponsored by OR AFFILIATED WITH Carnival Cruise Lines, but they are a major supplier"???
Not touching this one with a stick.

I got the EXACT same pitch yesterday. There was a message left on my home phone that I’d won a raffle that I’d entered within the last 6-12 months. My boyfriend immediately thought it was suspicious because the person didn’t mention my name in the recording (I didn’t even notice that the first time). I called the 1-888 number back and was told that I’d won one of four prizes and needed to be between the ages of 28-72 to redeem the prize. The potential prizes were a Ford Escape Hybrid, a trip for 2 to one of three locations, $2500, or a 32' flat screen TV and I’d be give a ticket to scratch off to see which prize I had won. They said they'd be at the Holiday Inn on Wisconsin Ave and to come either 4:30, 6:00, or 8:00. I was told that the entire process would take about 90 minutes and that there is no sales pitch. I’m very glad I looked this up first. I’m not wasting my evening on this foolishness! Thanks for the heads up.

Got the postcard. Called the number and got the recording "Divine Getaways...please wait while we connect your call........listened to music for a couple of minutes, and then another recording..."no one is available to take your call. Goodbye." Seemed like a scam so I googled and got this website.

There is no company name listed.  From my online searching, it looks like whoever is sending this stuff out has been doing it at least since 2007 based on the reports on this website.  Different phone numbers, supposed vacation sponsors etc. have been provided but all offers/promises are pretty similar.  I would be interested to hear from someone who has actually spoken with someone from this company through the phone number.

We foolishly signed up for a similar vacation package offered by Divine Getaways.  We decided a few hours later not to go through with it.  We contacted our Credit Card (Capital One) and they said the charge had gone through Paradise Escapes. Our contract gave an address in Reston for returning the information packet and recinding the contract within 3 days.  We are going to check out that location immediately.  The phone number associated with the charge was a restaurant in Falls Church, VA and an 800 number that simply answers saying we have called outside of business hours.  I am now very distressed to hear that it may be quite a hassle to simply get a credit and chalk it up to a learning experience.  How did you handle it?

I just received the same postcard today.  I called just to see what it was about and he gave me the same story he gave all of you.  The Divine Getaway Travel Agent is celebrating their 30th year in business and are very excited to only send out 500 postcards.  It is off of a "referral" system so someone gave the my name (yeah right)..You have to meet with one agent and a group of other clients for about an hour meeting....My husband and I were curious and we scheduled a time to meet with them.  After reading all these post I think I will just let them have there own celebration!!  No thank you!!  I should have trusted my judegement "to good to be true".  Thank you google for your help!!
