Thanks for the heads up. I got a postcard for a Carnival Cruise.  I spoke with David and he told booked me for the Holiday Inn Seminar in Arlington a few minutes ago.  If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.  I'll cancel that meeting ASAP.  I asked David, "If I get there and find out there's a catch after getting a babysitter and dragging my wife an hour and a half down to Georgetown, I'm gonna be mad.  KNowing what you know about the seminar, would you come to it if you were me?"  He said yeah.  I was hoping he'd have a conscience and maybe talk me out of it.  I'll stay home and give up the free cruise.  Thanks for taking a few minutes and posting your experiences to save me the trouble.

I got one that had Carnival and us airlines saying I had recieved a 8day/ 7 night cruise. Same number 1-800-813-6994. If I called within 48 hrs I also got 2 round trip tickets.

Thank you for posting this, it has been of great help to us.  Our offer was for an 8 day 7night Caribbean Cruise.  Also the celebration of "Grand opening in your area" of Wal-Mart * Target.   Thanks again.

I got the same thing and I was excited at first since we just went on a Carnival cruise in October and I thought they were welcoming us back with a free trip. I am glad I looked into it before calling...I guess nothing comes for free

It is now 2011 (January) and I just received a postcard with the 800-813-6994 number.  It connects to Paradise Escapes, now.  They're offering me a complimentary 8 day/7 night cruise including r/t airfare for 2 from any major port in the US, including Baltimore, and is not a timeshare or land sale offer!   These guys are managing to survive very well, it seems.

Just got the above mentioned postcard (January 2011), and this thread goes back several years.  Same offer, Paradise Escapes, 1-800-813-6994, Postage permit: West Palm Beach Fl Permit 3950.  I'll bet they're even scamming the post office.  I guess we should be reporting to the FTC rather than just ranging on this blog?  But so many thanks for all the info.

My call was from 888-648-2798 and the guy was Walter at Ext.236.  I was able to call them back and question where their company home office was, and what the name of the parent company was because I wanted to look them up and he told me like 3 or 4 different names to try.  That made me suspicious.  Finally he said we are based in Washington, DC, but nothing came up when I Googled the 4th name he gave me in Washing ton DC.  He said he didn't understand because they are always at the Holiday Inn at 2102 Wisconsin Ave, NW.  (More suspicious, that the guy doesn't know anything about the company, not even the name, and it operates out of a hotel??) Finally he fumbled around and said he had to put me on hold to get the information I was requesting from a manager, conveniently, their website was down for construction.  This is when I found this blog and hung up.  They said my husband and I had to show up tomorrow at Noon, to receive one of 4 GUARANTEED prizes.(the prizes being: A LINCOLN NAVIGATOR, A 37" FLAT SCREEN TV, $2,500, OR A TRIP FOR TWO TO CANCUN).   My husband is very suspicious and I am gullible, so he said he wouldn't go unless I could verify it was legit.  Well, I guess I get my Saturday afternoon back because we won't be going.

I actually called this place and got the same spiel as Janice.  I pretended to be totally into it and made an appointment to one of their sessions at the Holiday Inn.

Everyone should just inundate them with calls and not show up!

Our stories are identical. But I went to see it if was a scam and to write a report. When my boyfriend and I began to question the credentials of the company, such as letterhead, business cards, Tax ID number, NAICS code, they could not verify the information and answer to this information. They had a fake print out of their BBB report that gave them a score of B. I verified and the company, Paradise Escapes, had a current score of an F. We had the same prizes and our location was at 2101 Wisconsin Avenue, Washington DC. How do they get away with this stuff.

Its never to late to get them. I received a phone call in regards to the same company. What has happened since you purchased?

I received a phone call from this phone number on 1/5/2010 stated that if i come to a 2101 Wisconsin Ave, NW WA DC to the Holiday Inn, I can claim my prize with the following prize options. A LINCOLN NAVIGATOR or $45,000 Cash, A 37" FLAT SCREEN TV, $2,500, OR A TRIP FOR TWO TO ONE OF THREE DESTINATIONS). It was from Holly, Ext 221. She said to call her back at 888-648-2797

Got mine today... company called "CPPI"  AKA "Classic Promotions"... with all the company name changes and different 1-800 numbers, I knew they could not be trusted.... Thanks FB for making it easy for scamers ....(I know I shouldn't blame FB... my fault for adding the information...but on second though I will blame them.. just feels better)

I got a "free Carnival" cruise postcard showing this 800-813-6994 number, saying "fly a US Airlines" -- the improper wording of "fly a US Airlines" has scam written all over it, along with it being a presorted postage paid postcard out of West Palm Beach, Florida.

I received the same message.  I called the 1-800 number and a woman answer the phone.  She told me to go to Holiday Inn on Wisconsin Ave, the Fortune room to listen to their travel pitch for 1 1/2 hours without any obligation to buy.  I am glad to find this website.  I will not show up for this appointment and waste my time.   Thank you.

I have attended a few of these in the past and attended one yesterday in West Virginia on my way to Charlestown. Thought I would see if anything had changed over the years with these presentations. I am not sure where they get these "salesmen". My mailer with Carnival Cruise Lines logo was for a 8 day cruise pluse 2 airline tickets anywhere in the US with  US Air Logo.  

Out of the folks that we were in the rooom for only one took the bait in my group. They have become less classy presentaions over the years and this one was about as low as you can get.

We stayed around the longest and wanted to check out the operation and get a look at the the contract.  The top package for was around 9k and the sales manger giving the presentaton was from the timeshare industry. I talked them down to 2k for the same 9k package and they wer eager to take my money. Of course I said no in the end. :) He mentioined in the presentation that he and his wife had been on the Tahita trip and all claimed they used the program. When I asked one of the salesmen about his trip it was not hard to come to the conclusion that he had never been there. It happened to be a place I travel often and anyone that has been there would know about.

When we left we recieved a voucher for 7 night cruise and buy one get one free airfare. It costs $ 98.00 to activate the voucher. Along with this cost you pay all taxes, all service charges, fuel surcharges, security charges. This ranges about $ 259.00 per person.

In addition the airline tickets carry a $ 35.00 per person activation fee plus the security fee and airport charges which run about $ 65.00 per person.

So as you can see you will spend at least $ 816.00 for the cruise and air travel even if they work.

It names Celebrity Productions Woodbridge as the company aranging this. They have so many complaints that I am not sure you would want them helping you cross the street.

I attend these on occasions and never intend to buy the product.  It is not for the gifts that I do this either.  Just me being me and give me the information to warn friends and family.  Yesterday, I attended one of these famous 90 minute presentations in West Virginia on my way to Charlestown.  I did save money not playing the slots for that period of time. :)  I admit this presentation was the lowest quality I had seen over the years. I think last time they served coffee and water and this time it was nothing other than water coming through the ceiling into a BUCKET.  Nothing has changed over the years and the quality of the salesmen is about the same.  I am not sure where they get these "salesmen".

I really wonder how many people caught that. One of the salesman, talked about one of his trips and from some of the questions I asked him it was obvious he had never been there.

In the contract they named more entities than the phone book.   Beware and read some of the comments on this board.   I’m thinking about following  up and trying to activate the vouchers to see what happens.  I am sure they are bogus and not anywhere what they advertise them to be.  Let you know how it turns out.

My husband and I just joined Paradise Escapes this weekend!!  We are still within our 3 day right of refusal.  I started getting concerned because they won't give us the password to view the properties until the 4th day?? I emailed Leslie and asked her to send me temp or or a list of some properties - she did but all the properties look like crap and are in places we have no interest in ever going.   Would you please let me know what happened to you?  I think I am going to cancel.

I received a similar offer. The cruise ship on the front is the Carnival Dream but I didn get the offer of the Walmart Gift card. Instead, I was to get t r/t airline tickets on US Airways to and from any major airport i the Continental US.

I fed it to my paper shredder for dinner.
