Can someone pass this information on to their department of Justice.

There are plenty of people in the State of Emergency right now. Debt Collection et.al. Credit Reporting is not a legitimate business.

If they don't stop harassing the general public with their debt collection practice. Report them to your local phone company, attorney general's office, and the police department.

They might need their immigration paperwork, but they won't get that either, but might get incarcerated for violation of the FCC-Rules and Regulation regarding telephone harassment and/or extortion.

BTW, THE FBI is still looking to settle some extortionist claims that have surfaced.

CEASE AND DESIST, NEVADA ET.AL. DEBT COLLECTORS

CRIMES AGAINST SENIOR CITIZENS, HANDICAPPED, hold a stiff penalty in any USA STATE.

IT"S JUST A MATTER OF TIME, BEFORE YOU AND YOUR 800 NUMBER GET CAUGHT.

BTY, YOUR COMPUTER also has an address that is recorded with your name and location on it.

Received a call a while back, left a message telling me it was my last chance to "lower my credit card interest rates." Just now rec'ed a call with EXACT SAME RECORDED VOICE (played back both several times -- they are identical). They say a name close to mine, but not mine, and that they "must talk to someone TODAY about this account." They left this number to call back. The recording did not identify any company name during either call.

I received a call from this "debt collector".  I have zero outstanding debts and was willing to entertain the woman who proceeded to inform me of some "debt" that according to their records was incurred on the east coast through some bank (Wachovia) which I've never had an account with in my life.  I informed the woman that I had no debts with any banks, west or east coast located. However, I informed her that she might want to review the laws in each state prior to calling random people in an attempt to strong arm people out of money which may or may not be owed by or to anyone.
The woman did tell me that her records reflected the "debt" being reported originally back in 2003.  I proceeded to instruct her on the amount of time that she's referring to and ordered her not to call me ever again with such a scam.

Poor schmucks have called here and left messages several times in the past week, looking for previous owner of this house (7 yrs ago) who now lives in Africa.  Apparently these poor dweebs are the new owners of some of his (considerable) debt.  Hope they bought it cheap, because they'll never get it from him.  I should call them back and laugh......

These people have been calling me for over a year, apparently the person that previously had my cellphone number ran up a few debts. Even though I've told them numerous times that I'm not who they are trying to reach, they continue to call.

Here's a little tip if you have an Android phone. Add the number to a contact and name it whatever you want (I've named it DNA, short for Do Not Answer) then open up that contact card, tap menu and check "All calls to voicemail". If done properly, your phone will never ring, not even light up.

I am getting calls to my home for a "Jacqueline J. Johnson" three t four times a day from First National Credit Bureau.  My fiancé has repeatedly told them that there is no such person at this number, but they keep calling.  I am about to take a look at the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) and file suit if they keep it up.

"Hello, we have attempted to reach John Doe several times regarding an important business matter.  We need to talk to someone today regarding this account.  Please press the '1' key now, or call us back at 1-800-824-6191."

Anyone who calls you with a robocall script like this is breaking federal law and FCC regulations.  They are required to identify the name of their business.  See 47 C.F.R. § 1200(b).  If they do not include their name, you have to assume that it is a scam of some kind.  Never give ANY personal information in response to an illegal anonymous robocall, and do not push any digits on your phone because this will only encourage more of these spam calls.

More importantly, if you are getting robocalls on a cell phone, you are entitled to receive $500 to $1500 for each and every call (unless the caller has your consent).  Each and every call that uses an autodialer or an automated voice message is a separate violation, starting with the first call.   Preserve all evidence, including dates, times, and content of each illegal call, including calls that were not answered.  You should take pictures of the Caller ID on your cell phone, record the robocalls if possible, save any phone bills showing the spam calls, and consult an attorney who is familiar with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.  Even if you do not file suit, it is possible that someone else will file a class action in which you can recover damages.  However, you would probably only get $50 or $100 for a claim that is worth much more than that.

These robocalls also violate state law in some jurisdictions, and may violate the FDCPA as well.  But that's a topic that someone else can address.

I know that this phone number is associated with a particular collection agency.  However, these calls are so blatantly illegal that I question whether the callback phone number is accurate.  Perhaps some unscrupulous competitor is just trying to get this firm in serious trouble.  So, I will refrain from pointing fingers until I have conducted additional investigation over the next few weeks.

If I can confirm the source of the calls, I will be taking legal action of some kind.  If these spammers want to conduct their business on my time and with my phone, then I am going to make it very expensive for them.
