Received numerous calls from this Collection Company. They never leave a message. The one and only time I spoke with someone, they stated that I had a debt of $2806.00 but would not provide me with the original creditor(s) name, etc. I asked for the CSR’s name and he refused to even provide that.
I have blocked this number across all telephonic lines associated with me.

    Highly unprofessional representation

You will need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation (by law they have to go back to the original creditor to prove you owe the debt), cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (this will be the best money that you have ever invested).  Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it.  Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt, and we would all be the richer for it.  Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front):  http://www.consumeradvocates.org/
    http://www.consumeradvocates.org/find-an-atto ... tates_value=All

Everything else you need to know follows including at least two or more federal and state agencies where you should report their criminal activities.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.  If and when you get that letter you should immediately send that debt validation letter by certified, return receipt mail.

First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file complaints with the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

I just called this back after I seen it was a real collection agency, but I chewed them out for calling me & on my cell phone multiple times all the time when I have no outstanding past due bills.  Every bill I get is paid off in full each & every month & has been that way for several many years.  She asked the number of my cell phone that kept getting the calls.  Said are you ________ & I said yes.  She asked was XXXX the last 4 of my social & I said it was NOT.  She said thank you & she hung up.

If people actually do their job they're paid to do, collection agencies would receive correct phone numbers from the one filing the complaint to the collection place in the first place.  People get in too big of hurry when it comes to people with the same name.  Then messes like this happens.

They might be real, but they should stop calling when they're calling and texting my 12 yr old son's phone. He's only had the phone number for about a year. I've explained this to them several times, but they won't stop. I mean come on, a 12 year boy!?!

The problem is that this is most likely this is a lower tier debt collector that buys old debts that have been bought and re-sold numerous times.  Over time the contact information for the debtor can become out of date and invalid.  The debt collectors will then try to contact anyone they think might be the debtor (i.e., anyone with the same name or a very similar name).  When the debt this collector is after was fresh the contact information associated with it was accurate, but over time the person they are looking for has changed phone numbers (for any of a number of possible reasons), so now the collector is grasping at straws to find the debtor, and thus you are getting called.
I had personal experience with these sorts of collectors quite a few years ago when I was hounded with calls from collectors looking for someone that had the same name as myself and I was the only one of the two of us listed in the area's phone book.  I actually had to deal with three collectors since the debt was sold twice before the last one accepted the fact that I was not the person they were looking for.

Calling/texting a 12-year-old (or anyone else) repeatedly, after being told several times to stop, can be considered harassment under federal law (FDCPA).  I'm sure this is the work of a rogue employee, and not representative of the morally upstanding executives of this fine commercial enterprise.  It tarnishes the stellar legacy that is documented on 27 pages here (plus dozens of pages for other phone numbers that they have used).  I suggest that you document your interactions with them and take the file to a consumer lawyer for a free consultation.  It takes very little effort and I believe it will be worth your time.

Received a spam call from 800-824-6191.  Caller left no message.  I checked this number and found that it is one of several numbers for First National Collection Bureau, Inc.  I have dealt with this company in the past re: a collection notice I received from them.  I mailed  (via certified mail RRR) a dispute and validation letter with specific requests required for legitimate validation.  Their reply was only a “verification” of the account number, with my name and an address where I have never lived (an old bill).  Their reply fell far short of the specific requirements for validation (such as a copy of an application for credit with signature — a major requirement for validation).  I filed suit against them with my County Court and won a judgment against them.  As ordered by the Court, they ceased collections on the fraudulent debt, but have not yet paid the fine.  Now, six months later I receive a spam call from them.  I owe no debts to anyone, so their call cannot be legitimate.  We’ll see what happens next.

They never call but text me every couple days from a different number (816-793-8955) which is a local number. It is addressed to someone with a different name - Thomase.....  They ask me to call them to discuss a debt, which I do not owe anyone anything or send a text that says stop. I have done neither. Watch out.

Is there a reason that you are getting all upset over a post made in 2008?  Is there a reason that you think that person will stop back after 14 years to read your post?  Is there a reason that you haven't taken the time to read the numerous posts in this thread that tell you how to deal with this?  Is it the same reason that you failed to read the warning above every message section on this site:

I'm sure this suggestion is tightly wrapped in sarcasm like a sausage in its casing. It would sadly not be the first time I've read of children being harassed by commission-crazed collectors. The FDCPA indeed protects "any person" from abusive conduct, a group naturally including those who are too young to obtain credit. A targeted child's parents may and should seek Fair Debt damages on behalf of that victim.
