- Helena WallaceI receive a call from this organization every day at 8:00 am would like for the calls to stop
- IMUsually they leave a message not asking for anyone specifically, just a number to call. I finally answered this morning, and the gentleman said he was with a Customer Contact company that represents several hundred clients. He didn't provide anything more specific. Well, if that's all he gives me, I didn't feel the conversation was worth continuing.
I asked him to please stop calling this number.
- My caller ID usually shows their number as Unavailable, and the company name on my answering machine sure sounds a lot like The Palace when they say it.- Caller: Apelles
- Also Annoyed - Possibly Time WarnerThese people have been calling our house for almost a year now. They started by asking for some man we do not know. Around December my husband and I finally CHANGED OUR NUMBER BECAUSE OF THEM! But, less than a week later they were calling our new number for someone else! I'm just wondering, how many of you have time warner for your phone service? It seems that they do not let numbers rest long enough. We changed our number in December because of these calls and a month ago we received a collect phone call bill for the number we hadn't had for 6 months! Something isn't right!

- dusterCalled 800-825-4425 - On the onset, I asked who I was speaking too...mind you, I used an exceptionally sweet, innocent non-threatening voice. The man identified himself as Lamont. I told him that I had been away for a bout a week and when I came back there were 6 messages left on my answering machine from this company in 3 days. I asked why I would be getting so many calls from this number because I had a private, unlisted number? He said they were a collection agency. I then told him that I hadn't any issues with collections and asked him how I could get my number off of the automated calling system. He said he would need the number that was called so I gave it to him. He then said they were looking for T & C Williams. I told him I didn't know who they were and he said they would remove my number from their system. I thanked him graciously and hung up. Only time will tell if the calls cease.

- TammyI received a call from this 000-000-0000 number with a recording telling me that this was Appellas, not a sales call, and to call 800-825-4425 for important information. When I returned the call and the representative (whose name I should have gotten) asked for Jonas...I became highly irritated. I have had SEVERAL calls asking for a Jonas in the last week. I keep telling them that they have the wrong number, no Jonas lives here, and take me off their calling list. So, logically, I assumed it was again, the same people, calling for Jonas. I told her to "quit calling my number, there is no Jonas here, I will get my attorney involved if you keep harassing me." She immediately became RUDE. "This is the first time we have called, and I CAN call you...." I responded, no you cannot.... She said in an extremely snotty manner, "WHATEVER!" I said, "Don't you "whatever" me! This is MY home!" Then, VERY sarcastically she said "Have a nice day, Maam" and hung up. She was NEVER empathetic to my situation. I assume it was a collection call for someone else using my number so THEY won't get harrassed! (I have execellent credit....hence...no collection calls!)

- Riiser replies to James| 1 replyI would not hire Hyde & Swigart. They were recently found liable by a federal district court for $155,979.00 in fees and costs for filing a frivolous lawsuit. They then appealed that ruling on their own behalf and won, leaving their client responsible to pay the damages caused by the frivolous lawsuit they filed.
See http://www.ca9.uscourts.gov/datastore/opinions/2009/06/09/07-55326.pdf - CHICAWhenever their name comes up on caller ID I pick up the receiver and hang it up. I agree with Jeff, it's a collection agency and like Rebecca, why does it say THE PALACE? Weird.

- What the heck| 1 replySeveral messages left on phone, same as above. finally they called when I was home. Told me that I owed from an '07 '08 ADT security bill that had been paid. Gave me ADT 1-800-493-7917 and an account number that they said ADT gave them. ADT did not have that account number or any unpaid bill. Called back and man on phone said he could deduct the amount owed by half if I would give them my credit card to pay bill, but, that it would cost me $5 to use card. I said I would send check and they gave me a PO BOX 1197 Westerville Oh. Man on phone said he got my phone number from Skip Tracing, but, wanted my address to send letter once they received my check. I did not send any money, they called and asked if I had, I said no way, and I would be contacting BBB. I told them I had never received any thing in the mail and again they said they would send out a bill? but, they didnt have my address.

BOGUS, BOGUS, BOGUS - LeighpersonThis is the second "collection" agency who has called me in the last two months who have had completely the wrong person, completely the wrong number in a completely different state. This is what I emailed them:
"You are the second agency like this in two months who had completely the wrong number and completely the wrong person, who lived in a completely different state. I would suggest that whomever calls actually LISTEN to the greeting message of whom they are calling. Our first and last names are clearly given on ours.
After numerous calls from another agency who just plain didn't listen to the greeting, I had to report them to the BBB. It is not my job to fix corporate errors and I do not have the time or the inclination to do so.
I will tell you what I told them.
Part of being professional is checking sources before phoning strangers. I do not have the time to call back every person who has called the wrong number and tell them such. They need to listen to the greeting messages. We have had this plenty, where we identified ourselves by name and yet someone will invariably say, "Is Margaret there?" yet this "Margaret" was never even mentioned in the message.
I have a family I am trying to raise and too much in my own life to worry about strangers misidentifications. You can avoid all this by verifying information and doing something so simple as listening to a message. By the time all these phone calls were made, you could have already found the person you were looking for in the first place.
If I receive a second call, I will go to the BBB. I willl not put up with this aggravation again."- Caller: not on ID

- I'm Not Related to any of this. These people contacted my Cell and had the Wrong Phone Number and called around 6 times wasting my minutes. You got the wrong number for I don't give out this Number, it is for emergency use only.
When I finally had time to call them back to even see who they were I called from my Home Phone on their Toll-Free (1-800-825-4425) and found out they were a collection agency.
They obvioiusly had a wrong phone number and when I started to tell this young man to take me off their list he hung up.
He did not give his name, but is Afro-American in speaking it sounds like. (I am a Voice Instructor for many years as well as a musician and deal with sound, voice, etc. for a living).
When I callec back a woman answered and I stated what had happen and she said she would take me off the call list. She stated this this was only a call center. She asked me who it was that spoke to me when I stated he had hung up. I stated he did not give me a name, but that I could tell he was Afro-American and a younger man. She got an attitude and stated, "You can't tell if he is Afro-American." I stated, "Whatever, just take me off the list, okay?"
She stated she would. She did not give her name as well.
I was thinking that they were very unprofessional that I called back, but and I got the same young man again and when I asked for a manager he hung up on me again. So I called back and just as someone was to answer the phone they hung up again.
I am saving this to my records and will pass it along to the authorities, for it seems you folks have many issues with the law from what I am seeing on Google.
1. You called the wrong Phone Number (A Cell) and I just don't give it out.
2. Your people are rude and have attitudes.
3. I'm not even sure you are not, mabe, a Scammer just trying to take a rip on people. Your people come across that way.
You should know if you are truly a real company that people do give out bogus numbers to get away from you, right?
Sincerely,
You Got the Wrong Phone Number.
P.S. Don't even try to respond to me, ever again!- Call type: Debt collector
