NEVER lived in or have I EVER BEEN to South Carolina.........have family in North Carolina.......no IDEA why they are calling me......

They are calling my cell phone. I reside in Ohio. The only utility bill I am overdue on is my gas, and that is not much...we arranged to have it shut off for the summer (it's for heat, only) and to pay the bill in three payments over the next three months. Since this arrangement was made, I don't know WHY it would go to collections.
When I answer, I get dead air. If I DON'T answer, no message is left. The only function this call seems to have is to try to get me to use up my cell phone minutes saying, "Hello? HELL-O?" into a silent receiver!

I recently got a new cell number. Once I activated the service, I get at least 2 calls a week from this number. It is an automation asking for Cornelia. Who is not me. They say this is a "private call for Cornelia", and if I am not her, to hang up. Very, very annoying.

Got 3 calls from this number yesterday. Did not answer.  Checked it out on here and the funny thing is I have lived in NJ my WHOLE life so don't know why they would be calling me !!!!

I continue to get calls from this number on my land line as well as my cell phone.  They do not leave messages, and I do not answer any 800 numbers, so I do not know who this is.  I have never been on a collection agency's call list...and I am on both do not call lists, land and cell/

Two calls today that I answered. When I say hello, I get a recorded message back saying hello and then three beeps/phone hang up. Seeing as this site indicates collection agency, I will assume it is for the person who had my number prior to me. I don't have any outstanding debts.

Received a missed call today...called the number back about 1/2 hour later...  spoke to a woman operator...I asked why I was called...she said she could see that th enumber I was calling from had been called by her company "Contractors Credit" or something along those lines...then she asked me for my name...I told her "NO WAY" and to have a supervisor call me if there was a problem.

i wish this fake company stop calling ...you tell them they heve the wrong number but they keep calling..find a real job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got a call from this number today.  When I answered, a recorded voice said "Hello", then disconnected.

Called by 8008258038. I never answer 800 numbers because they are often spam. They didn't leave a message. From what I see they do debt collection but I only use cash and don't have utility bills or medical bills that come to me, they are under my parents' names. I live in Chicago so I don't understand why I am getting called. Before IL we lived in Italy so I am at a loss. I contacted them and am waiting for a reply.

I reported them to the Better Business Bureau, it is easy to do. And I logged their number with the government  do not call site since I'm on the "do not call" list. This company is irresponsible and should be stopped.

Too bad you have not done any research the do not call list is for telemarketers not collection agencies. If you paid your bills you would not be getting a call from them.

Pay your bills it is called your PIP balance because you are low income. I have never received a call from them because I do not have to be on a low income plan.

If someone is calling you and you feel that they have the wrong number just call and let the company know I did and I have not received any more calls. I have no bills past due so I do not take offense or get upset when someone calls me that has a wrong number I politely call them back and let them know.

Caller ID showed +17068680800, and the voice mail just said to call 800-825-8038 with no explanation.

They are calling a private number that has never been used to sign up for anything.

They called my cell phone which is not a local number to where I live. They did have my name but when I asked who they were with and they told me Contract Callers Inc. I assumed they were telemarketers and asked to be put on their do not call list. He promptly hung up. Fortunately I did not confirm or deny who I was since he claimed to be recording the call. However, I have no outstanding debts to anyone so it is unlikely they are calling with any legitimate debt anyway. Probably trying to defraud me.
