- JesGot a call from this, no one there. 5 minutes later got a call from a local number (567.217.0111) from some company asking to help me lower the rate on my credit card. I don't have one. I connected to the customer service, told the guy if they have a card in my name, it's fraud and he said - swear to god - "Could you do me a favor ma'am? Could you [***]?"

- Susan replies to JTI returned the call from a different number. I couldn't understand them or talk to the person who answered the phone as while they were talking their automated menu continued to play the entire time so I have no idea who or what they are or wanted. Googled the number and it is called "Contract Callers" Thank you JT for the info! The return certified mail idea is an excellent plan. Funny how companies can loose stuff or never receive it and that is ok. But they often claim they sent us stuff and we don't receive it we are lying to them!
- PaulI don't have any debt. I am also from Massachusetts no NC. I blocked the caller with my iPhone

- PJust got a call from 800-825-8038. He asked for a name I didn't recognize. When I said I didn't know who that was he said "Thank you" and hung up!
- Caller: Just said "May be recorded"
- D.eI've been receiving a call every now and then. They don't leave a message. I have nothing in collections or past due accounts. No idea why I'm getting the calls. Figure over day I might answer to see what's up.

- DorisCalled at 8:45 am answered they hung up
- Sarah replies to Carolina Livvin'Never lived there in my life. So if this is legit, why are they calling me in NewYork? Total scam.
- SJ replies to UBIGDUMMYReally? I just got a call from them, and I pay my bills ON TIME EVERY TIME! This is a hoax/scam. The guy asked for my husband, and when I asked who it was and the company, he refused to answer! Kept saying he could only talk to my husband due to privacy laws. That's BS! He could have given his name and the company name. That doesn't violate privacy laws. I work with those every day.
- NicholeIt is a debt collector for PG & E. They are awfully rude. I told them I am handling the matter with PG & E directly and he told me that I was a liar because if that was true I would not be receiving debt collection calls. Dang dude. I hope you receive employee of the month with all the 'hard work' you are doing. *rolls eyes* I would suggest blocking this number.

- SamAfter reading the existing comments for this number, it is clear that this number is a phishy, dishonest collection agency that uses deceptive practices to get individuals to pay money that the individual does not owe. I have received several calls from this number on my office line. The caller ID shows the name as "UNAVAILABLE" along with the phone number. I do not owe anything to anyone and definitely have no unpaid utility bills. Therefore, like so many scum collection agencies, they have matched my name to someone with a similar name and are attempting through harassment and threats to convince me to pay money I do not owe. I suggest that people block this number if you have a call blocker or simply do not answer since they are liars and criminals.

- Rob S| 1 replyThey call every day for PSNC saying I owe unpaid utilities. I called PSNC (twice now) and they tell me my account at my last residence was paid in full, the account was closed, and nothing was ever forwarded to collections. I've told these people that call that but they won't stop calling. PSNC said there's nothing they can do - Contract Callers won't stop calling - I can't get out of this! I don't care about the phone calls - I don't want it on my credit report. Neither party wants to take care of it. And I don't know how to keep this from being reported to credit bureaus.
