IF THIS KEEPS UP I MAY BE THE ONE VISITING THEM SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- AndiiI know I have student loan debt outstanding so I've gotten used to these kinds of calls...BUT. I am currently out of the country and my phone is set up to still work. At $1.49 a minute. They have been calling me 10+ times a day, sometimes only letting it ring once. Keep in mind I'm out of the country, with a 14 hour time difference. I've had to leave my phone on silent (which was meant for emergencies only) simply to be able to SLEEP.
They're going to get a very nasty letter from me when I get home.- Caller: Regional

- lewie132004I got a call from these people and 4 other numbers like this. It's pretty inconsiderate that these people keep wasting my time and theirs. My mother thinks I'm doing something I'm not suppose to be doing when she sees these numbers on my phone. I'd really like to be left alone.
- jeanne hutsonthese people have called me 14 times today alone, not even for me.

- AmanyThey called me today and asked for someone that does not even live here. Left a message saying that I had three seconds to answer the phone and if not I am withholding personal information? I didn't know they could try to threaten people without even knowing who they were calling.
- Caller: No idea.
- JoI've been getting calls from this number on my cell for several weeks now. In the past hour alone, I received four calls from them! I've never answered when they call, but I'm already so sick and tired of them blowing up my phone everyday. >_<
Just looking at this thread, it looks like this number/company has been around for a few years now. Has the law investigated these people yet? All this calling/harassing/information fishing that they are doing is clearly illegal. - Adrienne replies to stevoI have received multiple hang up calls from these people looking for someone that I do not even know. When I called them back, they initially asked me for my social security number and became quite rude when I refused to give them that info. I finally got it out of them that they are looking for someone who my husband and I don't know. They said they are going to remove my number from the list, but based on what I have been reading, I highly doubt they will.
- BethReceiving calls from these people asking for someone else that is "a part of our family". When we tell them that she is not a part of our family and that they have the wrong number, they say OK. Then they call back the next day.

- BeingHarrassedEvery day, 5-6 times a day for the past 3 weeks we are receiving calls from this number-feel harrassed by a phanthom. Tried to pick up and they hang up. After reading these comments, I will never call them back. Sounds like a not so legitimate company to me! As I am typing this, they just called again-3rd time so far today!!!

- thewritingpoliceTried blocking the incoming calls from this toll-free number by adding the number to my call blocking service. Call blocking reports that this is an invalid number. How do they get it to show on our phones if that is an invalid number?!?

- Ashley replies to NikkiMy message was from a Miss Julie Majors. Im so tired of these people calling me!
What can I do to make them stop? They call over and over and over. And most of the time they dont leave a message. Its so annoying. Once, its sounded like the person leaving the message was in a very crowded area. I could hear a told of people in the background. Its really starting to upset me. - RRR_111I received a call from this number saying "I'm calling to check a reference on (name omitted). She listed you as a reference. What can you tell me about her?" I had no recollection of ever hearing that name before. Then she asked "well what about (another name)?" The second name had the same last name, but a man's first name. I didn't recognize this name either. The caller hung up. After a while, I began to make a vague connection with the second name mentioned. It was the name of a person who bought my parents' house 6 years ago in a town 60 miles away from where I am now. I never met the buyers nor had any dealings with them. My only connection is that there are online records indicating that I once lived at that residence in the past. After reading the other posts, I now understand that this is a collection agency and that they must be REALLY DESPERATE to collect money from these folks if they are calling me...someone who never met the debtors but many years ago lived in the house where the they are currently living!

- fatcat| 1 replyI got about 20 calls in a 30 minute time period from this number. My phone number is registered on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY, NO telemarketer is supposed to call my number. They just leave dead air, they dont say anything!!! I just turn my phone off.
I filed a complaint report with the FCC.
I hope they get fined out the butt by the FCC!!!!
What can YOU do to help avoid these calls?
First and foremost.........add your phone number (or numbers) to the National Do Not Call Registry.
1. Politely tell them "My phone number is (tell them your phone number), please remove my number from your companies phone list and never call it again". Get the name of the person you are talking too, if they refuse, then write down the time, date, and how many minutes you were on this phone call, as well as the name of the company they give, and if they give thier name.
If they call again, file a complaint with the FCC immedicately. You can do it online.
2. If they call again, you can just pick up the phone and let THEM listen to dead air until they hang up.
3. Use an airhorn and blow it into the phone, then hang up. (dollar stores carry air horns sometimes)
(any kind of loud horn works, if you cant get an air horn, or even a rape whistle)
4. Pretend you are [***]......talk to them like you are [***] "Whats YOUR name? Thats a PRETTY name. My daddy says I can talk to people on the phone......do you wanna play with me?"
5. Pretend they reached a police station.....answer the phone "Hello, you have reached the (whatever city is in your phone prefix area) Police Station, this is Seargent Jones speaking, how can I assist you"?
I have found one and all of these methods very useful in having these [***] companies stop calling me...especially when they wont take "no" for an answer.- Caller: Regional Adjustment Bureau
- Feedup replies to ThelumberwagonI'm constantly getting calls from this number. When I answer they hang up up on me. They have called at least three times in one day. Would like for these calls to stop.

- Lena Goodso they keep calling me over and over again.. on my cell phone so i got so tired of it that i started to call them all day long well at least for a hour over and over again.. they got so upset that they started screaming... lol I respect anyone doing their job but I also work in third party collections and there are laws that we must all follow and they do not follow them. They are to leave a message and they reason they dont is because after contacting someone one time a day they are not to call back but they choose to aggravate people thinking this will make them pay. Well what ever it is I will never identify myself .... so they will never make contact with me.. good luck suckers!

- M JonesYeah, these jerks call me daily about a debt that's been settled for a year now. I have yet to answer the phone, I just let it go to voice mail and then delete their message about how this is "very urgent" (but they never give any ID about what company they're calling with). After seeing the posts here and in several other places, I will not talk to them at all. I think next time they call I'll just put my phone down and walk away.
