They called my sister on her personal cell phone at work and asked for my girlfriends personal information (number, work etc) so i called them very upset. I was on a cell phone but they kept saying sir,sir your reception is bad,u need to call back at a later time then hung up on me. I called back and they said well you need to be more professional when you call next time cause this is regarding a very important business matter. i asked what it was about and they said im not in liberty to discuss this with you and then asked who i was. i said im so and so and my relation to her is friend. she said well the sister said her boyfriends name was, then she said my name, then asked was i him and i said yes now tell me what u need.

her name was linda glover.by the way
she said i dont have to tell you a thing sir.not a thing.
    in her tone with attitude.
i said listen lady u called my family on their cell phone at work and she insisted it was on the reference list and i said bull Sh*t.
i then said what do u need and what business do u work for. she told me really fast so i couldnt hear her. she then said whats wrong sir,why are u so upset. are u two hiding something? if your just her "friend" why are u so upset. (she said it in a tone like being sarcastic and treating me like im stupid) i said u listen to me u stupid B*tch dont ever call back and im reporting u to so and so....

Called twice today and did not leave a message.  I just called them and asked why they had called me.  She said that she was the regional operator, and if they did not leave a message to disregard the call.

I am a Marine stationed at Quantico and I did receive the same voicemail from a "Chad Duglas" from two different numbers the first was the 800-829-7750 the second was 800-829-7204. So watch for these two numbers. I have not called them back because like everyone else here, they just said it was important that I call him back. I am sending an e-mail out to eveyone I know telling them about this so that they are aware of it.

    rab calls...
They called me from 800-829-7209. When I called back from another phone, the lady answered with like she was an old friend - real casual. Then, asked me to identify myself. I asked the name of the company she was with and would not answer the question, but RAB specializes in old debts that are approaching statues of limitations (7 yrs) or older.

File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission.  You may also try the Federal Communications Commission and the Security department of your phone company.  I filed with the BBB and the response they gave was laughable.  Still under investigation.

I already filed a complaint with the BBB.  They lied like hell in the response to the BBB.  However, I made it a matter of record that no matter why they are calling and on what, I will NEVER pay them a penny...especially with how they do business.  By FEDERAL LAW once you tell them you will NOT pay on an outstanding debt they have to stop calling, they can only send a letter.  I got my recorder ready for the next time they call and violate the law.

Someone from this phone number, 800-829-7204 called and left a message masturbating on my voicemail.  When I called to report it they had my name and when I told her what happened and asked for my number to be blocked, she hung up on me.

This number keeps calling me several times a day, up to 7 or more times. They never leave a message. I did call the number a few times to find out who it was and they wouldn't give me any info other than to ask for my phone number and my name. I didn't give my name or info and then asked them if they were telemarketers or what. They hung up on me. I immediately called back and asked again who they were. They hung up on me again.
So now when I am home and that number calls, i immediately pick up the phone and hang up on them without saying anything.

Doesn't everyone on this site wish that this was true. Federal Law allows you to verbally refuse to pay and therefore the collection agency will stop calling? You wish huh? Not so easy sweetie. Sorry to break it to you buddy, but that's not the case by any means. You people (on here and who call in) REALLY make me laugh when YOU try to tell ME what the "federal law" is. lMAO! We have to go through training for a whole week just to learn the FDCPA-laws that apply to third party debt collecting. GOOD LUCK!!!

If you read the FDCPA.... you'd know why they do what they do.  If you are not the debtor by law they cant leave a message on your machine.  Nor can they disclose anything to you.

called 10 times today - I said hello, mentioned the number of times I had received calls from 800-829-7204, and a woman politely said it wasn't her.  when I asked why she was calling, she stated she was looking for a person whose name I didn't recognize.  I told her this and she asked me to please disregard the call.

Get calls everyday. Very rude people. They say they "legally" cannot disclose who they are working for, although I know it Regional Adjustment Bureau. They wanted to know if my sister lives here, I told them I am not required to disclose who resides at my home. I told them to stop calling because they will never get what they want.

I received 5 calls from them today. I did not answer as I did not recognize the number. From what I'm reading here they seem to be a collection agency. Since I have just moved to this country and have absolutely no debt whatsoever I can only assume they are calling for someone who had the number before me. I think I may have some fun with this and answer next time. I speak 3 languages so I'm thinking "Guten Tag or Bonjour, est-ce que je peux vous aider? Or perhaps I could just answer by asking them to identify themselves and verify their address! Or better yet, do the Jerry Seinfeld and put them on hold immediately!!!! Oh, this is going to be fun :)

First call at 8:00 a.m. (I work afternoons). The second call came a half hour later asking where my husband Bob was.  I had a migraine and didn't take a message fast enough, so the nasty-voiced woman hung up on me.  I called the number back from caller ID and was asked if I knew a Bruce Kamino.  I don't.  She told me they had the wrong number and then hung up on me. Lovely tacky people.  Company is probably owned by Dick Cheney.

They called here 4 times this morning (within 30 minutes).. the first three times they hung up before I could reach the phone.. the last time I was sitting here with it right next to me and answered as soon as it started to ring.  The lady on the phone asked for me by first & last name, and when I told her it was me she told me she'd been trying and trying to contact "Debra Helmer" and that my name had been on Debra's list of contact people and she wanted me to give her a number to reach Debra.  I've never even HEARD of this person before.. and told her as much.  She said "oh no, well I've been given the wrong information all the way around.. thank you, I'm sorry to bother you".  It was very odd.. something is not right there.  She was very nice.. but still.. its very suspicious.  I just hope they don't call back.

This is for collection of educational loans. There is nothing wrong with letting them know that they got the wrong number - or, if you guys owe money, of course they'll be calling you.

They kept calling my house. I had no debts so I didnt answer. I finally got tired of them calling and answered it today. They asked for me by name then told me they were calling about a neighbor of mine and gave me the neighbors name but that name didnt ring a bell. I wish they wouldnt bother people because of someone elses problems
