GEICO has called three times today and not left a message.  This last call came in at 9:20PM.  I just moved and they had mail returned.....? I asked that they not call over and over without leaving a message, and not to call so late regarding something minor.

At the people who say you should answer your phone: get a life.  This post is not for *ssholes like you to voice your ignorant opinions.  It is Geico and they should leave a message; it's the professional thing to do.  I can't answer my cell phone at work.  Did you think about that before you started mouthing off?

I recently changed my address and set up mail forwarding, but didn't inform Geico of new address. They left message asking me to update the info they have on file.

I get on these boards and fume about telemarketers, scams and harassment with the best of them. However, in this instance it was in fact Geico. They left a voicemail with an explicit explanation: that the USPS had informed them that I had moved and they wanted to update my records. I had completely forgotten them in my long list of address changes, and I appreciated the call.

I returned the call and updated my information, and yes, it did result in a change in my insurance rate, so I'm sure that's a big part of their motivation in making these calls. However, that's how car insurance works. They were straightforward, left me a voicemail and made no attempts to deceive or harass me, so I'm fine with this one.

I got the call too and missed it.  They did not leave a message.  I called back and it sounded like a foreign person's home number; he just answered "hello" in a heavy accent.  They called back again later, I answered and nobody said anything. I kept saying "Hello" and they never said anything, so I hung up. For all the people on here name-calling others for whatever reason, that is not necessary. By posting random insults online is that you have low-self esteem and must hide behind a computer to insult because you are too cowardly to do so to our faces.  :)

Scenario:  You pick up the phone and there is no one there...........Solution:  If you don't get a VOICE RESPONSE in a polite second or two, you may be on "their" Auto-dial system.  As soon as possible, start hitting the "#"  key 10 or 12 times - this throws the Auto-dialer into a frenzy --- you shouldn't ever get  THAT call again.  Works on Telemarketers too.

I recently moved and didn't update my address with them.  They found that I moved based on the USPS NCOA process, and called me with an automated message asking me to go online and update my address with them.  Simple, easy.

    Got an email from geico:

We have received a request for confirmation of coverage from your Lienholder/Loss Payee on the 2001, TOYOTA, XXXXXXXXXXXXX. Our records show there is currently no comprehensive and/or collision coverage carried on this vehicle. Please contact our Customer Service Department at 1-800-841-3000 or visit us on line at WWW.GEICO.COM  to make the necessary changes to your policy.

called geico. They say no lien and was not contacted by a lienholder. Said it was sent in error. Could not or would not tell me the error that caused it. I wonder of they just send these out to customers hoping they will increase coverage. They say they don't do that. But I'm suspicious. At least until I hear back.

It is an automated call from geico. I called them back as my policy is in good standing to find out why they called. The agent appologized and assured me that I would bw placed on the no call list. I didnt even have to ask. It seems they are working the bugs out of a new system.   Annoying? Yes.  Policy ending customer service?  No.

I got a message from this number, claiming to be geico, telling me I had reported an accident, and that they were investigating it, when I returned the call (They told me to call 1-877-890-2245, I get a recording telling me I've won a cruise.  Called the real geico - no reported accident on my account. I believe this is a scam.

This is not actually a GEICO phone that has been calling.  Someone calls and states they are GEICO from this number.

I answered this after the third call. I had made a claim due to an accident just a couple of days ago. It was a survey to evaluate the contact and claim process with Geico and asked for ratings on a scale of 1 to 10 about different areas, i.e. knowledge and professionalism of the first person I talked to, how satisfied I was with the speed my claim was processed - stuff like that. No names or personal information was asked for to indicate a scam or anything of the sort.

Probably a call center.  In this case, they left a message asking me to call Geico about an auto claim.
