- DiamondYeah this is a scam for sure. They are calling to obtain more information about you to still your identity. Some way some how you or someone you may know gave a bit of your info such as; phone number, address, email and name. So now they are trying to get you to give more. They will offer shopping sprees, free gift cards, money, government grants, scholar ship money, financial aid. It is all a scam. None of this is true no matter what they tell you, none of the promises will be fulfilled.
- Caller: They Never Tell You

- Annoyed tooYeah, I unfortunately filled out an online form from Facebook saying I won a prize. Doh! Stupid me! I've been getting calls since.
This is what I do. I register the phone number in my contacts in my phone as "Annoying Telemarketer" and then I set up calls from that contact to go directly to voicemail. This way I never have to hear the phone ring. They don't leave messages. It's made my work a more peaceful place. I now have four different numbers for them.
Too bad we can't just block them. Seems they have more rights than we do!
Anyhow, sorry this is happening to you all. But try not to let them get to you!
P.S. The worst thing you can do is a) answer your phone and b) call them back. They want to know if the number they are calling is active. DON'T ANSWER if you don't recognize the number.- Caller: Unknown

- amyI received this phone call and they said I was selected for free magazines... although they wouldn't tell me which ones they are. I used to work for Hearst Magazines, ProCirc and C.D.S, I find it hard to believe that they couldn't even give me the name of just one magazine. Then they wanted me to pay them money for it! how am I supposed to know what I'm getting?? I asked her if this was a scam, but she said no... go figure.

I did 2 numbers. It should start 3-4 days following this reporting to them. If it doesn't contact the Do Not Call Registry. - amanda replies to bobthe exact thing is happening to me right now. i signed up for comcast about a month and a half ago and i get calls like this daily. i never pick up the phone but im wondering what it could be about. and telling companies to stop calling doesnt ever work for me they will just call from a different number..
- amanda replies to Essidusthat didnt work for me. i very politely asked them multiple times to stop calling and stop selling my info...ive even had conversations about things other than what they were trying to sell and they " asured" me that i would no longer be contacted..yet just today ive received 5 calls from the same number..
