This POS violates many collection laws put in place. If he isn't arrested soon, I would have to believe that he is bribing local law enforcement officials and paying them off. How can this parasite be allowed to scam people like this and not be imprisoned by now?

You made a big mistake. Bud Hibbs is a consumer law attorney whose website keeps track of abusive debt collectors like Donald Burak.  In other words, Bud's law practice is not affiliated with Donald Burak...far from it! lol

If people are looking to stop sleazeballs like Donald Burak, they should consult Bud's website for advice.

Sue him if he violates any debt collection and credit reporting laws. The best way to stop a lowlife like Burak is to legally pursue him as relentlessly as he pursues his victims.

This is Bud Hibbs' advice on dealing with Burak:  http://www.budhibbs.com/debtcollectorpages/burak_donald_s_attorney.htm

And these websites offer attorney referrals and lots of good advice on dealing with outlaw debt collectors:

These creatures really need to be arrested and placed in a maximum security jail cell. They are the worst type of predator scammers with their vicious lies. They attempt to instill fear in the people they call and that sort of ruthless behavior needs to be punished, not only with the owner of this business, but the employees as well because they know that their acts are criminal. The FBI or Pennsylvania state law enforcement needs to raid this despicable boiler shop operation as soon as possible, and shut it down.

Don burak is calling my neighbors trying to embarass me in to paying money I don't even owe. If there is a class action lawsuit filed against him, I want to join in. I don't really care about this creep, but my wife is suffering much emotional distress over this embarassment.

Please post the class action lawsuit detail links here if possible. I want to see Mr. Burak pay dearly for his bullying tactics.

    Thank you!

I hope the judge in this case when sentencing Mr. Burak to prison, reads these posts, and comments from others, so that the judge can be persuaded to hand Mr. Burak as long a prison sentence as possible, and fine him the entire amount of his ill-gotten gains, along with large punitive fines.

These people have been calling me day in and day out over an 8 yr old debt. This is the first I've heard of it. I have never recieved a letter or anything regarding this debt. Ronald Gates from Attorney Donald Buraks office calls and leaves messages stating that I'm digging myself into a deeper hole by not wanting to talk to him. Another associate of Donald Buraks even tried to threaten me w/Jail. I looked up the laws in arizona and the creditors repossesed the vehicle so no crime was commited. This is how these people treat people that have children. They do not care about anything else except harrassing people.

Somehow they knew I worked in law enforcement then started quoting me on the Texas Penal Code and that I will lose my job if they find out. I finally told them they were getting into a law debate with the WRONG person. anywho, I refuse to take thier calls until I get this paid off.

This is not an atty office. If you are being sued you will get personal or in some states certified mail service. Anyone who calls and says you are being sued is full of it. Dont fall for these stupid collection agency tricks! It is illegal for them to call themselves a lawyer and to say they are suing you if it is not true. Sue them if they persist.

In that one phone call, Burak's thug violated the law enough times for your daughter to sue 'em silly. It's against federal law for a debt collector to disclose anything about a consumer to a third-party -- even if that third-party is a relative. It's also illegal for a debt collector to make false threats, such as threatening to sue when he has no intention of suing.

Here's some background information on Burak's bandits:  http://www.budhibbs.com/debtcollectorpages/burak_donald_s_attorney.htm

Your daughter may want to consider doing the following:

    1) Make sure Burak is registered to collect debts in her home state. Usually, the state's attorney general or secretary of state has that information.

    2) File a complaint with her state's attorney general regarding the violations I mentioned above. The contact info for each state's attorney general is at www.naag.org

    3) Since Burak is in Pennsylvania, file a complaint against him with the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania: http://www.padisciplinaryboard.org/faqs/report_consumer.php

    4) File a complaint with the Pennsylvania attorney general at http://www.attorneygeneral.gov/complaints.aspx?id=451

    5) File a complaint online with the Federal Trade Commission at:
    https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=PU01

    6) Send Burak a letter directing him to cease all direct and indirect communication with her and warning them that she'll pursue every applicable legal sanction against them if they fail to comply.  Also inform him that since his office has already violated the FDCPA by disclosing information about her to a third-party and by making false threats, that she has filed complaints against him with the Federal Trade Commission, her state's attorney general and the Pennsylvania attorney general, and that she's consulting counsel.  Be sure to mail the letter via certified US Mail with a return receipt request, and save a copy of the letter. Here's Burak's hideout:

    Donald S. Burak
    Four Greenwood Square, #220
    3325 Street Rd
    Bensalem, PA  19020

If Burak's office contacts your daughter more than once after receiving the letter, then that's a another violation of federal law and more fodder for a lawsuit. (I think the FDCPA makes it possible for the consumer to sue for $1,000 per violation.)

    7) Sue Burak. Your daughter already has ample grounds to sue this snake. Check out these websites for more information on dealing with outlaw debt collectors and, if need be, suing them:
