This guy's office came after me - and I had just refinanced my home.  Credit report is golden.  So after a nonsensical phone call complete with threats to me and my records, I wrote to the BBB of Pennsylvania and to the PA Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court. This guy has been terrorizing people for years.  And, most people have no clue as to what their rights are in situations like this.  Scary guy.

This guy was .. .just disbarred.   I love it.   Stand up. Give him a hand.

I've also received calls from 215-642-3400. They never say who they are but backing into this found out it's Landis. I receive them to my cell phone about once every two weeks. I just checked my credit report and no outstanding debt, credit rating of 7.8. This is getting very irritating.

CONSTANT phone calls... several times per day.  I don't know who it is, so I won't answer the phone.  I looked it up, and it is a collection agency.  I don't owe, so I don't need to be called.

Don't want to go into case with this company, but civil and criminal charges are happening at this point and television media is now involved with this company.  Next on list with this is the owner of this company, who will be held be responsible for all illegal actions occuring with consumers in regards to past debst.
I Had similiar situations with this company; but I'm taking action.  I submitted a complaint to attorneys office for PA and federal complaints.  On top of that, I'm involve with a lawyer at this time civil and criminal charges.  Also, on top of this, im at present in touch with 20/20 tv show and channel 16 on this company.

Thomas Landis:  All I have to say is that it was a bad mistake if you let them use your name,  This company and its illegal doings on the phone with consumers is coming to an end.  This company w/name is going to be shown on TV soon with its illegal actions.

The wrong consumer was messed with illegally.  Little does this company know that i have contacts within the media.

Good luck, Law offices of Thomas landis, Equ. Four Greenwood Square Suite 220; 3325 Street RD; Bensalem, PA 19020; (215)642-3400.

Media interactions about company/ w owner once disclosed, next civil and criminal suits againt illegals actions to collect debts.

Anybody want to get together and tell their story of illegal actions by this company, I will have channel 16 and 20/20 utilize the information for their story.  Feel free to email me at lovrinic@yahoo.com

Debt Collectors Settle with FTC; Abusive Practices Affected Consumers Nationwide
The operators of a debt collection company that used false threats and other unlawful tactics to collect consumers’ debts have agreed to settle Federal Trade Commission charges that they violated federal law. The settlements bar future violations and require the defendants to pay $225,000.
According to the FTC complaint, the defendants, who had about three million consumer accounts and collected debts in every state, falsely threatened that nonpayment of debt would result in garnishment of consumers’ wages, arrest, or legal action. The FTC alleged that the defendants used illegal and abusive debt collection methods: they called consumers before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m.; called their workplace when the collectors knew or had reason to know that the calls were inconvenient; told employers, co-workers, relatives, and neighbors about the consumers’ debts; continued calling after receiving consumers’ written demands to stop; and used harassing and abusive tactics such as calling many times a day, calling right back after a consumer hung up, and using profane or other abusive language.

This company is the same company reported to the FTC under another name.

The practice has been to purchase old credit reports and scam those people.

In this case there was a call to say if they had the wrong telephone nmber to hang up - machine to machine - my answer machine does not hang up in the middle of a message!  Got a call two days later from Thomas Landis Law   office for someone other than the owner of the phone number they were calling.  To call back is the catch - the equipment they use logs in the number you called from.  My number is blocked due to the popbulation I worked with.  There is a block to call business from you phone call your local service to fine what it is or Goggle folks.  This is doing no good if you do not call the FTC. I have a do not call on my phone this is not enough.  Debt collection agencies have taken this to a new low.  You may not owe them a penny but if they can scare anyone into sending them money a penny from one million people is enough salary for two people.  The person hired to harass a telephone number and the person to set up an account on or off shores.

Phone rings, an automated voice starts to mumble a name, than it requests for dialpad answers, after a human answers the phone, but I hung up already.  I am glad I did not talk to that person.

I have had Many calls from this number, could never understand the messages and never call back. I finally did because I was so sick of it. They told me that the needed to settle a debt from capitol one of $1600. I told them that I keep track of my credit report and know that this was from 1999 and the debt was settled in 2000. They quickly hung up on me. SCAM
