- XxGot a call a little while ago It's Portfolio Rectum Assoc.
- Corn HolioPortfolio Recovery. They leave me a message every so often, but it goes to my Google Voice, which means they can't bother me at all unless they leave a message (even then I am not really inconvenienced or interrupted anyway). I only see a transcript of their message in my email when I choose to log into my voice account.
Guess they will have to accept the fact that communication will be on my terms, not theirs!
Even when I do call them it goes to voice mail anyway, so I leave a message giving my name and phone number (Google voice number only) and tell them I am returning their call and to have a nice day.
They will never get anywhere with me, and they can't even be annoying by calling 30 times a day. Hahahahahahhahahahaha- Caller: Portfolio Recovery Ass.

- I don't pay debts for all SmithsDo you know how many Smiths are in this world. I am not related to ALL of them and am only responsible for my own debts. Maybe I could find another Smith to pay for my debts. I always make sure I pay for everything I owe. I should not have to be harassed by collection agencies for every other Smith who is living or dead. Why don't they send the bills in the mail instead of calling everyone? Surely the companies you are indebted to have your address as well as your phone number. They don't even have the correct first name. I am NOT Shaniqua, Ayeesha, loquisha, abadeesha, Boobeesha or any other eesha.

- jb| 1 replyThese people from this number are calling my house on a Sunday morning. Do they not have any respect that on Sunday nobody should be calling a residence. I just don't understand that they are calling from a collection company that we never even have had but they are blowing up my phone. I with a few of y'all when it comes to getting their home numbers and blowing up their phones like they do ours.

- KenSleezeball agency.
However, if you live in Texas, Beware.
The State of Texas, in another show of their infinite stupidity, has named NCO as the collection agency to collect past due 'pay by mail' billings on the Texas Toll Roads.
Texas waits months to send the bills, which are usually for a dollar or two. Second month NCO adds $50.00 to the bill as a 'collection fee' Third month the fee goes up to $200.00.
They pulled this crap on me and I have TexTAGs on both vehicles. It cost me several days of phone calls to TexDOT to get this taken care of.- Caller: NCO Financial
- MReply to Ken. Unless Texas state law has a unique cluse allowing it "collection fee's" added by the collection agency are UNLAWFUL! You should do some research before paying

- xerlockWe've gotten these calls for years, along with a letter or two. They call half a dozen or more times a day (I use the first call as my alarm clock, they are very regular). Sometimes their computer leaves the same message everyone else is getting, sometimes it is slightly more personal, saying the call is for someone who doesn't and never existed at our address. Sometimes they will stop for a while after being told (when the rare human calls) or letter back (addressed to someone else so we return it), but they always resume in full force. We let the answering machine handle it but boy are they annoying. We've never had debt either, and aren't even the person they claim to be after. I have no idea how they think they are "collecting" anything but anger--there's no way to respond to a computer call, and if I were hiding out from them, why would I call them back under such circumstances? Pure senseless harrassment. At least it is obvious that is all it is, by finding such websites with a lot of others in the same boat!

- Mr Billwhen they call tell them you offer telephone consultation at a cost of $1000.00 an hour with a 40 hour min and by continuing with this call you accept all fees involved. also tell them that due to this first call any further calls to you will be considered a new contract for services and billed to the number at the end of the month
- momI usually screen numbers i don't know, then do my search. If a scamer or bill collection agency ... if they want money from me, I'll answer the next call. If any one asks for me & i don't know them, i tell them wrong number! No proof, so no is my answer to all their questions! I call a lot back to stop the nonsense! Just hearing the frustrating on their end because they thought they were working hard, puts a smile on my face!
- J-BirdI think, if you actually owed, you'd be contacted by the company involved.
In my case, I recently moved, and my number was assigned by the phone company.- Call type: Debt collector
