John Berry (Barry) and Associates. This is a contact number. They also use the number 800-230-6127. Information I have tracked down says they are a collection agency. The call was not for me so I have no further information.
They state that it's a "business call".

Yep. They just called me again at the 6127 number. They CLAIM to be a LAW office. I think they are full of it. I asked several times what the call was regarding before verifying my name and they get angry everytime, so I just hang up. They are increasingly persistant and freaking annoying. Any info that anyone could dredge up on this number or agency would be very useful to me. Please share your findings!

They called me as well. Several times actually. They called to speak to my sick father. When I told them he can't come to the phone because of his old age/sickness they asked if I was the power of attorney for him. I explained to them that I was and asked what they wanted. Then she told me to fax that to her office so she could verify it. No freaking way am I going to send provledged legal information to some crazy wench who won't tell me who she is, especially with her tone. I should call the police on them.

Anyway, I think it is a collection agency posing as a law firm "John Berry and Associated". What a load of crap.

These people have been calling me alot, very annoying.  It's always a recording that answers, but the recording never identifies the caller and no caller ID ever comes up.  When I actually tried to return a call to them i was put on hold forever so I finally just hung up.  I would definitely like these very annoying phone calls to stop.

THESE PEOPLE JUST GET ANNOYING. THEY KEEP LEAVING MESSAGES. THEY ARGUE WITH ME WHEN I TELL THEM THEY ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE ELSE. THEY GAVE THE WRONG BIRTHDATE, WRONG ADDRESS, AND TELL ME I THAT I AM LYING TO THEM. WHAT AN EVENTFUL BUNCH OF PEOPLE THAT HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO DO WITH THEIR TIME. LIFE MUST BE SO BORING FOR THEM.

THESE PEOPLE CALLED MY 71 YEAR OLD MOTHER AND TALKED TO HER LIKE A DOG OVER SOMEONE WHO USED TO HAVE HER NUMBER.  CALLED HER A LIAR AND HAD HER ALL TO PIECES.  MY HUSBAND CALLED THEM BUT THEY HUNG UP ON HIM, SAYING THEY WERE NOT GOING TO LISTEN TO HIM.  THEY CAN DISH OUT THE INSULTS BUT CAN'T TAKE IT WHEN THEY ARE WRONG.  AMY, IF THAT'S HER NAME NEEDS TO HAVE HER TEETH KNOCKED DOWN HER THROAT AND TAUGHT HOW TO SPEAK TO ELDERS.

An Elderly person I had listed as an emergency contact from years ago.  Funny thing is that this bill was paid ages ago.  I asked them to remove the # bud the lady..Barbara D.  Said she could not do that.  I refused to give them anymore info and hung up.  If they call the # again I will pursue this furthur.

theyve called me every day for the past forever.   saying to stay on the line or call this number.   they leave tons of messages.   if anyone is interested in pursuing them or ANY of the other creditors out there who are harassing us illegally, then please email me at swampedby800s@gmail.com

Just left message for us to call regarding a "business matter".  OK, so we do not owe ANYONE any money.  Not even due to pay our credit card bill yet for the month, utilities are all automatic drafts and we don't have a mortgage.  We *used* to own a business but closed it three years ago so it shouldn't be in regard to a "business" matter.  If that number calls again I just may answer.  They don't want me to.

Based on your notes I won't call them back - they obviously have the wrong number and I don't have time to deal with skip-tracing losers who will not even give their names out.  I did a quick google search and this is the president if they are harassing you and would like to ask for him:

I too have been receiving these annoying phone calls on a daily basis. I never call back. Except for today, and I was not a happy camper when I called. I asked who they were and why they were calling me constantly. the guy identified himself, and asked if this was where my ex husband was. I informed him I haven't seen nor heard from the jerk in over 15 years and to leave me the bleep alone, and to stop calling me. He said he would take care of the calls. If I get one more "personal business" call I will flip out and yes, I will contact an attorney.

This company called my daughter today, they were looking for me. Don't know how they got her number.
Would not tell her the nature of the call.

I have been receiving phone calls from both the 800-230-6127 & 800-868-1899 for some time now.  I won't answer my phone if I don't know the number. Most of the time they don't leave messages.  When they do leave messages they sound very rude and nasty.
I've had only one time where they've left a message stating:
"This is John Berry & Associates and we have "Important Business Matters" to discuss with you.  CALL 800-868-1899 today."  They have yet to give a name for whom they are asking.
The rest of the messages have just been as follows:
"Please contact Susanne Simpson at 1-800-868-1899. I have an important business matter to discuss with you. 1-800-868-1899." and they hang up.
I will not call them back untill I know who exactly they are looking for and what it is about.

Called at 8:30 PM, said I must call back by 9:30PM they had an urgent matter to discuss. Don't owe anyone and did not know what or who Jon Berry and associates were. Supposed to call 1-800-868-1899. Caller ID was
1-800-230-6127 and listed as toll free number.

Someone from that number called me several days ago at work. A co-worker answered the phone and of course I knew it was a collection call. So my co-worker kept asking who was calling and got very upset and ask who she was. They are very annoying when they call.

I just called these people back and the guy on the other line hung up on me 3 times. I talked to him once and he was looking for someone I have never heard of, so I explained that he had the wrong number and he hung up again. Now they wont answer my calls. Very rude.

Jon Barry & Associates.  Basically the snake-oil-salesmen of the collections world.  I have received calls from them under a different number; this is a new number to me, yet I still am not going to answer it.  I have contacted Gaston Memorial Hospital (which I believe this is for, as it is the only healthcare-related bill I have outstanding, for a lousy 200 bucks if you can believe that LMAO) to make payment arrangements, since this is a bill I've been fighting insurance to pay since last October (9 months now).  I'm going to go ahead and pay it, since I am technically liable for it; but I've already had my attorney contact the insurance company about this, since insurance states I had a pre-existing condition which apparently was so vague even I didn't know about it.  I've sent them confirmation of good health several times and they keep losing it; so I'm just going to pay the bill and be done with it.  This company is getting a cease and desist letter this week.

These people called my cell phone and didn't identify who they were or who they were looking for. How can I stop further calls? This cell phone is on the do not call list.
