You have got to call the hospital they are collecting for and complain.  Complain to the Better Business Bureau in the Concord NC area and also contact the owner directly at his personal house listed in an above comment. Call the vice president who is Brylan Gann he lives in the Kannapolis/Concord NC area in Pine Creek Neighborhood.  We have got to bug these people back.  They are not a normal collection agency. Brylan Gann has the nerve to send his children to a private CHRISTIAN school and this is what he does for a living.  Fight Back.  Call the NC Department of Insurance.

Also call the hospitals and scream at them for using such a cheesy company.  Call your local news stations that have consumer divisions.

I was called by this number several days in a row..finally i called back..the guy was kinda rude but once the I found out why they were calling and i resolved my issue all was good....imagine all the idiot deadbeats these hard working folks have to deal with!! But I guess if people dont take care of their responsibilities then the creditors will come calling...and these people will have lots of work!

Called asking for my grand daughter. Very annoyed when I told her my grand daughter was unreach able.  We hav had message left before.  This is the first time I have talked to them.  They would not give me an info about the call. How can I rid them from calling my house.

got a call from annabelle ( yea right  ) who asked for a c.g.I stated I wasa c.g. she stated I didnt sound like I was born in 1987 and I said you are right i was born in 1952, and asked if I knew C.G. I stated I knew several C.G.'s which one did she want?  since I was the wrong one, she stated that C.G> had given my phone number and she would continue calling, i advised this [***] she better not or I would refer them to a real attorney, she  hung up. Called their office and talked to a supervisor demanding my phone number be removed, and once again was questioned like above, and told her I knew several C.g.'S and they better remove my number or I would turn them over to my atty she stated she would remove my number,,, we shall see

As for you like I said earlier.... the economy is horrible people who do not have jobs because of being laid off or other situations cant afford to feed families and pay a 50,000 debt due to a sickness...they should offer insurance.

Have you ever stopped to think that by saying what you are saying, you are the one who looks like the uneducated trash? Some of us work our butts off to make it in this economy and do the best we can. If it is between food and a medical bill, food comes first for a lot of people now-a-days. Don't judge people too quickly. Those people are not the reason the economy is bad either. That has to be one of the dumbest statements I have heard! I work, pay my bills, pay my health insurance and pay my taxes, but I tell you what...This system we live in is ridiculous! Why do we have to pay for people who don't pay there taxes here and refuse to work so that they can get free health care? Because of that, that is why our economy is bad...

In response....that's a very ignorant comment to make, esp. when you have no clue of other peoples' situations.  Also, I work as a TM Fraud investigator, & many of these types of calls aren't from a legitimate collection agency, rather scam artists out of the country that try to scare & intimidate consumers (who may or may not owe a debt) to send $$ to cure a debt.  Get your facts straight before berating people....

You know you are right about how some of these companies are scam artists, but this company is legit.  They collect money from people who haven't paid there bills.  I can't judge them because I'm in a situation where I have to work 4 jobs just to make it in this economy.  I will say this though, I work for a company that has the same 800 number as they do except one number in the last 4 digits is different.  I keep getting threating phone calls from JBA clients because A.) they don't pay attention to the number on their voicemail or B.) they can't read.  I wish the phone calls would end.  I've tried to call JBA's compliance director and get no response from her (Karen Gedge).

You can always tell when a company is actually a bunch of low-life's because there is no trail to their business and they will not even give you any details about your own account (if any)outfits like this should be eradicated (put out of biz by authorities)and they should be made to post their shoddy way of doing biz so that all can be aware of them.
Try Googling Jon Barry or John Barry or Jon Berry or John Berry Associates there is no actual web site for this biz, another red flag, I have blocked this number and all others that lead to this outfit if indeed there is one (probably some jerks doing their calling out of Jon's basement.

I received a call on MY cell phone for a Kimberly Chambers.  It said if you continue to listen to this message you acknowledge that you are Kimberly Chambers.  I've had this cell phone number for well over a year. My cell phone is on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.

Obviously on page two of these complaints it's an employee of John Barry trying to defend their company,but not doing a very good job. If that person were a professional they would not be online talking to so called "trash who can't pay their bills". Others on here who have said "you have no idea what the person's situation is like",I Agree. Be a little more polite and professional. You might get something resolved  with the person that owes your company a bill or not. Example, I've been married for eight years to a wonderful man who served our country. Now that he's been out working full time and finished college we have two children that obviously depend on us when they get sick or hurt. My kids have been on your typical wellcare programs and such in the past. I have always done right by these programs filled the right paperwork, updated them & so on. But,the way the economy is now it's sad that it  causes these Healthcare Programs to neglect the average hardworking families by not working with them the way they should. When we try and try to call them to make a payment or anything, I can't ever get a hold of a human. When I do, they always tell me "well the system is down." "there is nothing they can do" or my favorite, "just call back again later" Whatever such Bull!
So the first time my little one gets sick with fever the whole thing, I take him to the regular doctor. After sitting there for 4 hours, they start rejecting people telling them to take their kids to ER so we did. After checking out after another 7 hours, the info still wasn't showing even though my kid was on insurance, had my id card and everything. ER told me just to call back up their with the info later and it would be taken care of. Well it wasn't & we were stuck with a bill we should not have had to pay. But thanks to my Husbands second job,the Military Gaurd, they were glad to pick up the bill for my little ones Xrays and all. Now I ask you this..Why should we keep paying montly payments on healthcare plans if we can't get any proper service or help? It's nice to know that the USA Military Cares ;-)


BTW, Elane & Karen of John Barry & Assoc. when you call people five times in a row three times from  your 800 numbers then twice from unavailable & leave voicemails within a certain amount of time that is called, (let's  say it all together people).............HAR ASS MENT!!!;-)

They called me about my son...my adult son, who lives in different state.  They were rude and obnoxious.

Tell your family and friends if they get weird calls. Most of the scammers are international. And they read this site. If they call you. Keeep them on hold for the LONG TIME. Check back every 5 min to keep them occupied.

Remember, your in control of the phone call. NOT THEM!

I will be happy when Obama-care comes. Then we will not have to worry about paying any medical bills because our federal government will be more than happy to pay all! In fact I am waiting for Obama to pay my mortgage, give me a Government Motors (GM) car, pay for the gasoline for said car, pay my utilities, buy my food and more....life will be great!   Ha Ha Ha
