i don't owe them anything...they work with a company called NCO financial systems inc. i inherited a cell phone number that belonged to someone who owes...so ease up on the trash talk...that's not what we're here for...besides that, you don't ever have to pay a collection agency a dime...you owe your original debtor....not them...if they bought it then that's their problem

Collection agencies cannot discuss details with you, unless you verify, you are the correct party. It is the law and they are trying not to break it. The only suggestion I can make to those stating it's unfair, write your lawmakers and challenge the law. It would actually make collections a much easier job, if they didn't have to worry about disclosing someone's personal information. I'm sure many of you, wouldn't want your family or friends to know about your unpaid debt, that could be embarrassing.

I'm no longer employed in collections, it was a tough job. But, in this economy, I would certainly reconsider, so I pay my bills.

JBA and NCO are legitimate collection agencies. They don't buy the debt, they are contracted by the hospitals/companies that have exhausted all means of collecting these unpaid balances.

I totally agree with your comment whatever....Some people don't have the luxury of working for a company who provides health benefits.. I have been a self employed hair dresser for more than 20 years and my husband is also self employed so when you don't have health insurance thru a company sometimes you have to make payments.. SO GET OFF THE TRASH TALK....For a world that has come so far in technology and other areas, we sure have sucked at coming up with a health plan for those out there working hard and don't have insurance offered to them and what is out there you can not afford...

I got a call today from this number too...if it were a reputable company they would leave their name and nature of their call. So, I will not call them back. I do not and will not answer if I do not know who it is calling. So, Amy...good luck talking to me...you can call my number all day long because I'm not going to answer. I just cut the phone ringer off...doesn't bother me....call, call, call!!!

Quit hiding behind privacy laws. If you are authorized to call someone you are authorized to state on who'd behalf you are calling. I am more than happy to pay my legitimate bills but I will not return calls from some shadowy caller who cannot simply state at least on who'd behalf they are calling.

You are doing yourself and your clients a disservice and are quite illegitimate in your activities.

yes they are a collection agency i know someone who works for them they mainly contact people who owes doctor bills hospital bills etc.they are located out of concord north carolina
