calls several times a day.

They call me multiple times per week.  They only call my cell phone.  I have reported them to the national do-not-call list website twice.  I don't understand why a collection agency would be calling me.  I don't owe a cent to anyone in the world.

This number has called me repeatedly for months. I am a disabled senior and It is someimes hard to get to the phone. I have been hung up on every time I answer. A few messages were left on my voicemail. I really want this stopped!

this is a collection agency i think for hospital bills.  they keep calling my phone for my mom but idk how they even got my number to begin with.  i just dont answer anymore it is so annoying!

I suspect this is a bill collector for a hospital. My cell phone has a call reject feature. So when I get calls like these. I simply add the number to the reject list. So when they call back they get a busy signal. My phone never makes a sound and I am never disturbed. I love having ultimate power against chumps like this.

So get this, I'm a 17 year old, and called back, waiting for the next available person. The lady that answered demanded my name, and when I explained I was a minor, blah blah blah she continued to demand my name. I refused to give it to her and she then told me I wasn't 17 because I wouldn't give her my name. Please explain to me how I can possible owe a hospital bill while on my mothers insurance, and when everything is forwarded to her? To make matters worse, this is a brand new number. :]

I truthfully am really tired of these calls. I have to agree with a lot of you - you don't tell me who you are or why you're calling, I don't have to return the call. Obviously its not that important or you would leave a real message - not just some stupid recording.

PLEASE STOP CALLING MY PHONE

These people are complete [***]. They continue calling and I continue to tell them they have the wrong number and they confirm that it has been removed from the system. I got transferred to a manager who told me my number had been removed and then hung up on me. Obviously I called back because in a civilized society we don't hang up on people. I spoke with another underling who refused to transfer me back to the manager and told me my number had been removed. I explained to him that I had already been told that and asked if he could he promise that the calls will stop and he suggested I change my phone number! Obviously I started cussing and he reminded me that the phone call was being recorded. I said "Good, I want you to play it for your [***] mom so she can see what a piece of [***] her son has become." He terminated the call.

Keep getting phone call from a guy at ext# 118, He was a ass, trying to act importian... Looked him up on face book and all i could really find is his favoite color is purple and the rest was jus gross...How can i take a man serious wanting to get money from me by being a [***] and by knowing what he likes after work in his ***...So from anyone else getting phone calls from him, dont get worried about his pretent man voice when after  work he gets it in and loves it with his purple friend...So laugh at him and tell him to go do what he does after work and f*ck himself, like he does after work with his purple St*ap on that he makes his 19 yearold girlfriend where...Wow the things you can find out on the internet....lol lol lol lol

I told them to take me off their calling list and before I could give my name, they'd hung up on me.

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act

Debt collectors may contact those other than the debtor to find contact information for the debtor. This could include a neighbor, relative or friend. Debt collectors can only contact someone other than the debtor one time, unless there is reason to believe new information about the whereabouts of the debtor has surfaced. The debt collector cannot ask the friend or relative of the debtor to pay the debt.

If you wish to stop a debt collector from contacting you, the FTC makes this possible. To do this, send a letter by certified mail asking the collector to stop contacting you again. At this point, the debt collector can only contact you to tell you they will not be contacting you or to tell you that the creditor has done something new, like filing a lawsuit.

If you feel the debt collection techniques violate the FDCPA, you should file a complaint. First, file a complaint with your state's Attorney General's Office. Then, file a complaint with the FTC. This will help put a stop to the unethical credit card debt collection techniques.


Also, to those asking why they do not tell you why they are calling you, the FDCPA prohibits them from disclosing the fact that you might owe a debt to someone.  So, they cannot leave that information on an answering machine since it may be shared with a roommate, etc.  They may only disclose that information to you...no one else!

My insurance covered this and I still get phone calls.

Received a call from this number. Left me an "Automated" voice mail on my cell phone. AUTOMATED?? REALLY??

If "someone with a pulse" can't call me with a name, number, company name, and a reason why you are calling then your "automated" message can talk to my "automated" voice mail.

I have no unpaid bills and my cell phone number is on the national do not call registry.
