It's apparently their support number but could have easily been spoofed by scammers. As someone who has Spectrum and knows people that no longer have them, they don't call like that. Family member left them and has never gotten a call about coming back.

This number definitely belongs to Time Warner Co. As they help me set up my internet.

I got the call too.  Somehow they managed to spoof the actual Spectrum phone number.  Please beware!!!

CID showed "Direct TV". Robocall left partial message, "Prices for TV, phone and Internet have recently dropped as much as 50%..."

Spoke in broken English and sounded from Asia.
Wanted me to change to Time Warner. When I said that I had not requested any offers from Time Warner, he hung up abruptly.

they called and when  I answered I got dead air for about 45 seconds

Caller asked me how I was and when I said fine he hung up.

Called claiming he was “Spectrums services” in a thick Indian accent. Offered me a “great deal” of Cable, phone and internet for 135$ a month and said he noticed I paid more than that on his file. Upon responding that I only pay 45$ for Internet, he hung up abruptly.

Caller is impersonating Spectrum employee... info phishing.  Block it and forget it.

Unknown silent robocall.

Disconnected the phone line as I didn't recognize the number and the "Out-of-Area" phone ID which, first clue,  always turns out to be a scammer. Immediately checked 800notes which proved my suspicions to be valid.

I received a call from this number I called it back it told me it was spectrum and to enter my area code so they could verify my account I hung up because I don't even have a spectrum account and I never have I receive before I realize that I could block these numbers I would receive about 20 calls a day from all different kinds of 800 numbers it is getting to be ridiculous how many scam calls I get every day

Said they were Time Warner and looking at my account I pay more than $100 a month on cable, internet, and landline.  I told him I don't have a landline and hung-up and blocked the number. Obviously spam.  I also don't have cable, but good try.

Caller I.D. shower Spectrum - the voice [very thick accent said he was from AT&T & asked how much I was paying for my phone/TV/ internet. SAY "BY - BY" !]

Did not receive a phone call. I got an email stating my account password had been changed with TWC. I do not even have an account with Time Warner Cable. Googled the number 800-892-4357 and I saw this forum. So heads up it is not just phone calls, they sending emails now
