- Marion, OHThis number calls every day, usually around 8:30am. Leaves no message. I've never done business with this named company so I let the machine get it. No out standing credit accounts so again, I don't answer. If they wanted me so bad, they would send a letter or at lease leave a message. Scammers.....

- BigA replies to madFirst, they violated the law by discussing your son's alleged debt with you. So right off the bat you have an excellent FDCPA lawsuit. So here is what you need to do and know. Also be aware that Penn Credit routinely violates all federal and state collection laws:
You need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation, cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter. You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to. Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment. If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it.
Now go to page 13 of this thread and read all the information on this criminal enterprise and where to report them as well as learn what you and your son need to know to avoid becoming victims of this crime. - Arlene replies to Anonjust got one of them calls this morning and I am blocking them
- legalhoundThese guys call at least 2x a day with the 2nd call coming around 8pm PST. The message is pre-recorded "please hold for a message about important personal business" then says to press 1 to hear it in English or 2 to hear it in Spanish, The message repeats 2x before it finally hangs up. From what I have seen here my best guess is that they are looking for someone who used to have this number, just like Rent-A-Center and a bunch of other people.
- JeanLooking for my daughter.

- Collector1 replies to truthseekerTry not to give advise about things you know nothing about. Resident47 is correct on both who the Dncl applies to and the monetary awards for those who are damaged by agencies not adhering to the FDCPA.
