You are losers that will not take an REAL answer like we don't know the person you are looking for, then you ask more questions, perhaps if you would get your numbers right.  I am sick and tired of calls that do not pertain to me, and calling at 8am on Sunday, PLEASE

No one is intentionally being the "bad guy" A lot of us use the credit then due to unforseen circumstances or horrible life altering incidents things change. I tried to tell the banks, begged with them to help me work it out until I was able to get on my feet. They said no they would do nothing. Becasue they don't have to, I am worth more to them in the red then as a paying customer. That is why they will give almost anyone credit, and that is why we are where we are today in the economy... So please do not tell me that I am a bad guy because my husband really did die!

Same details as others here. They call to scare and or harrass and leave a number. This person uses the name of Jesus Christ in vain and therefore is a child of satan which explains why he or she is in the dirty business of threatening and intimidating people.
Write them a letter to stop calling. By law they have to stop. If they do not, then YOU can sue THEM.
They are low life scum and will end up in hell one day soon, so if anything....pity them!
Oh by the way, the "P" in PRS is not for professional. Can you guess another word that would suitably fit? I can think of a couple!

Contact your local Attorney General's office and inform them as to what these scumbags are doing. They will direct you on what to do. Most likely they will contact a local Consumer agency and they will send you a letter that you can copy to send the scumbags. By law, they will then have to cease to call you.
You also could get your number changed and unlisted as another option.
You can also call their number in return and not say anything, just leave the line open for a few minutes. This can be a small payback to them.

These scum are the same type of people that work for agencies like the IRS. The very bottom of the barrel and care nothing about peoples lives nor feelings. They only love corrupted power that they can use against others.
One dreadful day ( for them ) their life will come to an end and then they will face Almighty God whom they will stand before guilty and condemned!

You do not have permissioion to call someone that is on the NDCL (do not call list) and if you do call anyone that is not responsible for the dept and they tell you that they do not want you to call them any more then you can not do it!!!! Or you get a fine. Too bad that the people that you call like that can't get the $$$ from you every time you call!!

The woman calls looking for a Charles Arndolf or something similar. I told her she had the wrong number. She said "Oh no I don't, I got this number from the phone company" and was very belligerant insisting I was this Charles person.  I said there is no Charles whatever here. She wouldn't take no for an answer, so I told  her not to call here anymore and hung up.
I believe she has called before from that same number, but I didn't have the presence of mind to take the number down the first time.

I filed a complaint with the FTC  on this morning on this company. I recommend anyone in the same situation, not being the party they're looking for, do the same.

If she calls again, inform her that you are suing her and her employer for TCPA and FDCPA violations:

Under the TCPA, a consumer has a right to file a lawsuit and recover $500 for each call that violates the TCPA. The TCPA can also be used in conjunction with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act in some situations.

Generally, the TCPA does not apply to debt collectors making collection calls to debtors. However, if you are subjected to calls from a debt collector and you are not the debtor, you may file a lawsuit against the debt collector under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and the TCPA.

This right was recently recognized by Judge Legrome D. Davis in a case called Watson v. NCO Group, Inc.  NCO Group is a debt collector that uses automated prerecorded collection calls.  In this case, Mr. Watson alleged he was getting hundreds of calls from NCO Group after he got a new phone number. Mr. Watson claimed he owed no debt to NCO Group, Inc.  Mr. Watson filed suit under both the FDCPA and TCPA.

    David Israel, defense lawyer for NCO, argued that the TCPA should not apply to debt collectors.  Judge Davis rejected the argument made by David Israel. The judge ruled that Mr. Watson had a right to sue NCO Group Inc under the TCPA for $500 for each call.  Judge Davis wrote;

[The] Court is convinced that a non-debtor's rights are in fact violated when he is subjected to repeated annoying and abusive debt collection calls that he remains powerless to stop.

Judge Davis' ruling was based upon his interpretation that collection calls to non-debtors violate the privacy rights provided by the TCPA.

So what can you do if you receive "wrong number" calls from debt collectors?

    1. Sign up for the Do-Not-Call registry.
    2. Save the calls captured by your voice mail or answering machine.
    3. Contact a consumer lawyer.

This number has called me several times. I am in Personal Bankruptcy. While the minimum payment may be low it does not matter. I have been ordered by my attorney not to pay creditors. If I pay one it shows favoritism.  I have called number and had given contact info about to my lawyer. The calls keep coming. Once the final processing goes through it will be illegal to call me. Stop waking me up at all times of the day and weekend. I am a shift worker.

Decided to finally call these fools back after 6 1/2 weeks of incessant calls. They kept calling and leaving msgs. for someone else saying if you are not this person you have to call us back to get taken off our list. I mistakenly presumed they'd have a real person call at some point and realize they have the wrong # since my name is on the voice mail not the person they are looking for, WRONG. The guy I spoke to was rude and I made a point of being brusque after everything I read about them. He was argumentative until I clearly stated they had better take my # of their lists immediately or I was reporting them to the FTC. He did get my# and then suddenly hund up on me. I better not get any more calls :-!

Thats real nice the way you tried to flip it around to make the Debtor the "bad" party. Constant calling is still harrassment. If the person is in debt and having trouble making "ends meat" to survive the last thing they need to hear is some rude person demanding moneys. "Run and Hide" really is that what you said? "YOU" are the bad guys here...what makes you think someone runs up a credit card with no intention of making payments? Perhaps it was to make funeral arrangments for a deceased loved one and then the attorneys make off with the money you were to have used to pay off said CC!?! hmmm is it possible? Perhaps the person lost their 401k and their job and now live off unemployment...barely. perhaps there should not be "Credit Cards" to begin with. A collectors job is by nature cruel, heartless and subhuman, but I suppose as long as "you" are working and paying all your bills who cares right?
Your "ploy" of calling back a 800 number without giving any true company information should be illegal....but thats the way "you" and companies like yours try to fool people into giving you permission to call as much as you like.
For the record: Never under any circumstance should you call the 800 numbers they give you.
