- EleniIt is indeed T-Mobile. Received the call at 8:27am and it woke me up. I called T-Mobile and they tell me that everything on the account is fine and there was no note of me needing to be called. He went on to tell me that the only way it could have called me specifically (since no other reasons were present) is if I were on virtual hold after calling them. I hadn't called them so that's very weird. He didn't know why I was called and apologized.

- RevereI just got the call from the same number at 8:34pm on 12/29/10. I didnt recognize the number so I Googled it. The search brought me to this page and claimed that it was a scam. They must have called me like 8 times within the past 5 minutes. Finally I picked up and it was some guy talking in spanish looking for God knows who. Thanks for whoever came up with this site.

- RandyI had a couple of questions to T-mobile customer service department and they asked me if I have an alternative phone number. I provided them my home phone number and they told me that they will call me back right away and asked me to turn off my T-mobile phone.
They called me back immediately and this number (800-937-8997) showed up on my caller ID, BUT not under T-mobile, it just displayed 800 Service.
This is definitely a phone call from T-mobile, no doubt about it, however, why don't they just display their company name as T-mobile on the caller ID is another question.
Their customer service support and billing practices are terrible. 3 different representatives came up with 3 different service charges for overseas text messaging service and they admit that they need to look up their latest policy changes on their billings and I do not buy this it excuse.
Do not deal with T-mobile at all, their staff personal seem to be poor trained and billing department is well trained to s@#k off your well earned money.- Caller: 800 Service

- DonnaI have received this call several times as well I usually will not answer the phone if it not a number I recognize. Which I'm glad to see was a good thing checking out what you all have said.
- Mike S replies to POOR_N_CA| 4 repliesNo it is not the collections department from Tmobile. It is however their customer service number. If you are getting these calls and you are with them you are probably up for a contract renewal or the want to let you know of specials or something. If you are not with Tmobile I don't know why you get these calls.
- crazy asianyeah its from Tmobile and they ask bill the easy way or something like that, its not a scam or is it hmmm
- SuziI just got a call from this number. They said they were Tmobile, calling about a past due bill. My bill is paid and the next one is due 6/11/2011. So the rep gave me the last 4 numbers to the phone number, which did not match my phone number. I informed her and she said okay, I will transfer you to customer care. At this point, a nice young man answered, I explained the issue and he said, he could look into my acct but I would have to give him my Social Security number. I was like okay, hold on..."what is your contact number?" he gave me 800-937-8997. As he was on the phone I googled the number and saw all your comments. I thanked him and told him I was not comfortable giving him my info, read him so of your comments and told him I would go into a tmobile store, and hung up. Issue resolved. :) Better to be safe than sorry. I believe it was a scam but will follow up with Tmbobile to be sure.
