Received a call from CHASE CARD SVCS (800) 945-2000, did not answer. Reading through the notes here this scam has been going on for a long time.  SCAM

I don't bank with Chase, so Chase bank would not be calling me. Makes it a scam.

Unwanted call from Toll Free Call on 9/4/2019 2:09 PM.

I got this call on 9/3/19 at 5:04PM ET. This message was:
"This is your final courtesy call
before we are unable to lower your credit card interest rate.
Press 1 to speak to the member services department
Or
Press 2 and your eligibility to lower your rate will expire."
The proof positive that this is a scam is that this number [(800)945-2000] is listed on the Chase Website as Card Replacement [Type Chase into your browser , select More Benefits from the drop-down list and the number is in the box titled Card Replacement). As noted by many posters here, this type of service only receives incoming calls. The bank does not use this number for outgoing calls or to do sales promotions. So on the face of it, this is not a legitimate operation by the bank or any associated credit card business. This is a scam operation that spoofs the bank's number. All the other reasons for this being a scam still apply. It should be safe to say that you should not press 1 or 2, just hang up.

Obviously a scam call. My recently activated Verizon call filter blocked it as spam immediately. No message left, as usual.

Don’t have a chase card. As a mater of fact don’t have any credit cards and house mortgage is paid off, so don’t tell people this is not a scam. Sure they appeare to be calling from a valid chase number but it is a scam BEWARE!

Scammers can spoof legitimate phone numbers. Happens all the time and isn’t the latest plot in scamming people.

Unless you are a Chase customer AND have reason to expect a call from them, IGNORE THIS CALL. It is a disguised number made to appear as if it's Chase, but it's really a SCAM.  Don't answer and don't press any keys. If you have an answering machine, instead of letting it answer, pick up the phone and DON'T SAY A WORD, just let the recorded scam message play out, and then keep your phone off the hook till you get the warning beep. At least it will tie up the scam number for an extra minute or so.

Just called because of your history your credit card interest can be lowered. But if you don’t take the offer of lowering your interest your card will be cancelled ? Crazy scammers

They can easily spoof a legit number onto any telephone.  If Chase was calling you for something important, they could confirm it when you call them.

9.16.19 @ 2:37 PM-- Caller ID displayed: "Chase Card Svs" (800-945-2000)-- SCAMMER using a spoofed name and number.  They hung up when call was picked up by our answering machine.  IF it were actually Chase Bank, I'm certain that they would have left a message and a call back number.  TOTAL SCAM, this one!  Be careful!

I would like to know how you found out what the real phone number is.

these frauds are using a legitimate Chase Bank phone number but that is not the number they are calling from! They use a call-around- system to scam use legit phone numbers.
Everyone should know that a bank will never call and ask for personal information.

Called me.  4 rings and hung up. Left no voice message.  Blocked scammer.
