chase card services I can't bevel this scam has been around for a very long time. Lower my interest rate on my credit card. Wow I don't have a credit card!

But truth is stranger than fiction. These posts are a time capsule of the evolution of this scam over
12 years and more than 1500 posts.
Not to be insensitive to those who lost money to this scam (they deserve our sympathy)
and not to deny the scammers the place they earn in purgatory ,
If these are the posts from people who bothered to do so , how many people in total have received these calls?

I got a robo call and pressed "1" for an agent.  He said "you called us to lower your interest rates".  I explained that I did not call but that they had called me.  He asked if I wanted to lower my interest rates.  I told him he called me so maybe he could explain what I needed.  He then said I could go F*#& myself.  I told him I would prefer to do that than to allow him to do it.  LOL

Received call. Nothing shows up on caller ID. Didn't answer and caller didn't leave a voice mail. I blocked the number, but I have a feeling it will do no good.

I have had 44 calls from this number & 2 voicemails. The voice mail has no message just silence.

Have you considered blocking the number? I know I would, even if I'd only gotten a tenth of the calls you have.

I called my Chase Bank and was told by my banker that this is a scam (800-945-2000)

I was contacted for a credit card, I gave them information about me and the guy said that it was a fraud after I hung up🤨🤨

There is; in youtube, there are at least three guys,,( channels ) that deal with scammers and record and post the videos on there channel of them taking these scammers down; and then they turn all the evidence over to the police.  They are what some call erhical hackers; I cannot recall all three of their names; but I know one of them goes by Malcolm Merlyn; you just have to post, whatever information you have in a comment on one of their videos and they will deal with them; the video recording are fun to watch.

Got a call since I do have chase bank  and did ask to have lower interest rate i answered and gave my info can t believe i did that so i hanged up called chaae told me they do not call to low interest rate so too late fir that but i cancelled my card and getting a new one they called me back after hamging up from number 303 776960i8 I looked it up belong to a 70 year old man in Colorado I am sure they stole his number just like they did with chase number I 'll make sure won t happen again

There is a date written under the name of the person posting that let's you know when they wrote their post. Replying to someone who was here 8 YEARS AGO is pointless.

1. When you asked Chase to have a lower interest rate, what did they tell you? How did they say you would be considered for it? Did they say they would call?
2. They didn't steal that person't phone number any more than they stole Chas'es number. They SPOOFED the numbers.
3. Get a new keyboard. Your punctuation keys don't work.

I had the same experience today. They said they wanted to "lower my rate." but did not know my card numbers but tried to get me to tell them. Ironically I only have Chase debit cards only,but no Chase credit cards and they did not know that and I did not tell them. The spoof name that appears on my phone for their calls is "Chase." and the spoof caller-ID when I  dialed back shows as "Chase Credit Services." SCAM!

I answered the call to ask the company to remove my number from their database. The initial automated message was about lowering a credit card interest rate and I don't have a credit card so I pressed 1 to talk to a representative and when he got on the phone I asked him to stop calling my phone and the man proceeded to tell me to shut up. I was in shock and said excuse me, he said shut up you stupid fu*king b*tch, do you know who you are talking to, f*ck you, I will f*ck you up. He said I have all your info and I'll come to your house when you're sleeping and cut your fu*cking throat. Unfortunately this is the number for Chase Bank Credit Card Services and I have spoke to them. I was told that they do not call to make card holders special offers they send out letters. So if you get a call from 1-800-945-2000 it is an attempt to scam you or access your personal information. Their phone number has been hacked or breached in some way so please beware and do not give anyone your info over the phone because credit card companies do not make any offers over the phone.

Everything you describe is very correct. It is a little nitpicking but the method they use is called Caller ID spoofing or just spoofing. It is a way to have their phone display a Caller ID number/name that is not theirs on your phone. So the deception occurs on their phone. They are not breaking into Chase's computer system to make the call. Second, we all realize once a 'salesperson' uses such foul and abusive language, there is no doubt whatsoever that they are a fraudster. A waiter (or any worker) would be fired on the spot. I am sorry you went through this but the scammers are no better than street thugs from which such lowlife behavior is expected. They do this to scare and intimidate people.

Just because a number shows on caller ID does NOT mean it was actually placed from that number!

The name that showed on the caller ID was "Spam?Chase Card".

Okay, so somebody is spoofing a legitimate Chase telephone number. I still did not answer because I have no business with Chase. My cards are through Citi and CFNA.
