- it sure is replies to Kenprofessional.
Thanks for mentioning it. - Anonym replies to Anonym| 5 repliesI don't.
Hahah!!
Oh. And learn to type properly.
That piss you off more?!?
It doesn't matter what number we called or how we tracked you, just as long as we do our job, it doesn't matter. - David replies to Anonym| 4 repliesIf you don't know exactly who and why you are contacting for payment status, or payoff, don't be calling.
- Oh ... replies to David| 3 repliesWe know who we are going after for that ...
But contacting others around them, anyone, is also our job, like it or not. - Homer replies to AdamsSeems the person is doing alright by not calling. lol
- Homer replies to Oh ...| 2 repliesBut you are allegedly not a collection agebcy. Why would you be 'going after' anyone if you weren't?
- Barb| 7 repliesMany calls from this same number where the person always claims they are an investigator on a case, will not leave any detailed information. No one at this number knows what they are talking about! What kind of collections practice is this? Where does one find out who the legitimate callers are as opposed to these types of places with obvious violations?
- Caller: Dunn, Johnston B
- You're right ... replies to Homer| 1 replyWe are NOT a collections agency.
We ARE an investigations firm.
Which means we investigate those we are looking for and go after them.
Simple. - Our practice is ... replies to Barb| 5 repliesFind the person we are looking for.
Any means necessary.
Barb, it's simple. If we can't find you (not saying we are), or whomever it may be, we call whomever we feel may know the person and go from there. - ArmyMomJackie (couldn't understand last name) called and left a message that she was an investigator, trying to contact me regarding my son. I worked ten years as an assistant to an investigator at a reputable law firm. Believe me, if there is one kind of person you can track down, it's someone in the military, and you don't have to resort to calling their family and friends. I don't know what kind of operation Dunn, Johnston & Brown actually is, but they are obviously either incompetent or engaged in something unethical. Private information should not be shared via phone unless you are certain who you are speaking to. If you don't get something OFFICIAL through the mail (certified, registered, etc.) I would recommend you tell them to take a hike.

- qwerty| 6 repliesThis firm contacted my neighbors and told them they were trying to contact me and some female party I have never heard of. I am not in the rears on ANY finances. I called, from my office at the Police Department where I work as a detective, and got an voicemail. I explained my position and usual experience with law firms....they have yet to call back. It does not follow any common practice for such a firm to use these tactics. I have a call in to a friend with the Texas Rangers to see what I can find out about this group.
- Great ! replies to qwerty| 4 repliesI hope your Texas Ranger friend finds a lot of dirt on these scum bags. They did the same thing to me by calling my neighbors and made a false claim that they were a "friend" of the family.
It's only a matter of time before these idiots get slapped with a class action lawsuit. - qwerty replies to Great !| 3 repliesI called the company today during business hours to ask them what they wanted. The "investigator" fumbled through files when I inquired and came up with nothing. She stated that it must have been some kind of mistake and made several excuses as to why they called my neighbors and gave my name. I again explained my position and I was told they must have been looking for someone else. I have a call in to Garland, TX PD fraud. Hopefully they will have some additional info.
- How ironic replies to qwertyThey did the same thing to me. My neighbor said that they called and when she asked of their inqusitions she became suscpicious because they were fumbling with their words. I am also going to call the Garland Police Dept. because there is something very wrong about this organization.
- Name Please ? replies to qwerty| 1 replyQwerty,
When the Garland Police Dept. calls you back please give me the name and phone number of the agent you spoke with. I want to contact the same individual and inform him/her of what this company has been doing.
Thx, - HAHAH!! replies to Name Please ?GPD can't do anything to us!!
Good try though.
I applaud you for your valiant effort "qwerty". Really, I do. - Contact3d replies to AdamsOk so your company called, and a voice other than that attached to the extension left a message. I left a call back number and I have heard nothing from you. So much for a legit business. If your trying to sell magazines I don't want them. If you have a law suit let me know, and if its about some kid I would definitely like to know because its been years since I have seen anything to do with Texas, the kid would be 9 yrs old by now. So either get your names right or get your help right. Still waiting to try and resolve this.
