Called my work number thrice today, but didn't leave a VM.

I got a missed call from this number at 9:48am cuz I was still asleep. I called back and when I got connected, it didn't even ring at all and went straight to the voice mail and it was a guy saying "leave a message" and hangs up.  

I later on get a call from this number at 12:48pm (on the same day) but I didn't pick up cuz i was in class and when I called back again, same thing happened...didn't ring and went straight to voice mail of a guy saying "leave a message" and hangs up.

I'm starting to suspect this will lead to a scam. And I highly doubt that it's the SF Chronicles because they would pick up the call if they want the business. The other number that they tell you call to get your name off their phone list is probably gonna be a international number that charges you like 25 dollars a second.

BEWARE PEOPLE! Don't pick up this number.

I never pick up calls that I don't know. Cuz if the call is important, then they will leave you a voice mail. If they don't leave you a voice mail, then it's obviously not important.

I got call twice to my cell but luckily I am not on the site.

I keep getting calls on my cell phone from people saying that they keep getting calls from my phone number. When I ask what the number is they say 1-800-975-0791. That is obviously not my cell phone number. I would like to know how this 800 number is linked to my cell phone number and what I can do to get it stopped.

This number keeps calling my multiple phones in my office. I picked up once, but it just hung up.

I got this number; 800-975-0791; twice on my home phone! last time was late morning.
'Called back and says "inbox is full" and disconnects the call!

No one talks. The mailbox is full when called back.

Annoying calls

Same with me got call today at 10 am. Haven't picked it up. Number is 800 975 0791. I tried to call back, and got "Number not in service..."

I'm a British 14-year old using a SF Bay number, hooked up to a Skype account and I'm getting bugged by this very number. Pain up the BUTT! Telemarketing scam.

Also in SF Bay Area, 1:49PM 11-10-08....I save these numbers to my contacts as "Telemarketers" and have assigned a silent ring to that entry so I don't have to listen to my phone ring.

I'm in the California Bay Area as well. I get a few calls from this number every week or so. Once even at 2am on a weekend. No one ever leaves a message or answers when I do pick up. Its VERY annoying, but I have learned not to pick up anymore as to not waste my minuets.

Got a call on my cell from 1800-975-0791. I answered and a woman, not even saying hello, asked me whether I was 18. I asked her who she was and she then asked me if my parents were home. I asked her where she got my number and that's when she said bye and hung up.

Called few times on my cell; I never respond to any 800 calls; it did not left a massage; today was morning; few days ago was after 18:00.
Got this few times in my life; so now I hardly ever respond to any 800 base system and/or Canada / Bermuda or other Long Distance I don't expect;
If this is real call - caller shall leave a massage, so you call back if interested or recognize friendly call; if not - I stay away from any unexpected marketing or scamming or just "checking if Number is active for future computer scam" callers on any of my telephone or cell; Th. RIC

no one on other end.

Recieved call from (800) 975-0791 at 9:51 AM PT 12/03/08 on my cell in Bay Area CA. I did not answer and they did not leave message.

This number just called my direct business number.  When I picked up; no one was there and they just hung up.  Then, the same number called my VP's number and when I answered that line, they hung up again.

keep calling. I never pick up.
