I'm from the Bay Area as well. Received a call from this person a little before 2:50 PM. Did not answer.

Just called back the number 1-800-975-0791 seems to be the outside sales number for SF Chronicle.

Called my Skype # which I didn't think anyone had.

I have received 4 calls from this number in the last 4 days.  Two of the calls were today.  If it is a number I do not recognize, I just hit ignore and feel if it is legit that they will leave a message.  I've received calls from this number before also.

The caller keeps calling me and I keep asking them to stop.

Called multiple phones in the office and nobody was there

Same thing happened to me. I got a call last week and i picked up but no one said anything on the other line. I just got a call this morning and I didn't answer and they left no voicemail. I am also a California resident and I just called the number back and it's for the San Francisco Chronicle

The guy called and said he was from the San Francisco Chronicle and then kept yelling at me.

calls from this #  where they just say hello hello hello 3-4 times a day for 3 days straight

This is the San Francisco Chronicle trying to get people to take the sunday edition of the paper they have called my place of business 40 times in the last 24 hours.   I have told them several times to take our number off their call list but the calls are still coming in.

Has called a couple of times with no message left on my direct line at work.  I Googled to number and found this info for reporting it.

idiots need to stop calling me. after all those worthless calls, i'm pretty sure i will never buy whatever they're selling

i've gotten several calls from them.  when i called back, it was the SF chronicle.

called me during my night class @7:40. didn't pick-up.

In numerous occasions this number has called my work number and after reviewing this site and calling the number back I have confimation that it is SF Chronicle

Got a call to my skype, some guy left a message "HELLO?  HELLO?  HELLO?"  and hung up.

Caller introduced herself as Barbara and asked if I'd like to subscribe
to San Francisco Chronicles.

Called me, reported to the FTC

I got a call and took the deal!! $1.00 a week for the year!! Great deal!!! The sales rep was very nice!
