it called me and i picked up because i am sick of getting these calls everday, so i picked up to ask them to take me off their calling list. the person on the other line said "hello" and then hung up. i called back and it said "you've reached the sf chronicle during non business hours. please call back later during regular business hours" when the guy had called me 20 seconds ago!! WTF?

this person keeps calling my phone and when i answered they asked for my parents so i'm a little creeped out

800-750-0791 called my office 5 times today, I didn't answer and there was no voicemail left.

this number is getting really annoying, two or three times a day, every day

They called me twice today on my cell with in an hour. Got  It's really annoying.

I got he call today... I have a new phone line in my house and they call it a few times a day. Im on hold with ATT right now to ask them to block the number. They don't call my cell phone just the house. Still anoyong. Im 7 months pregnent and I can't imagine them calling this much after my son gets here.

Call you phone company (if not at work) and askthem to block the number. If they tell you they can't there full of crap.

This caller: 800-975-0791, is so annoying! They called my cell phone three times on a November morning. I thought they decided to stop calling me, but today they decided to call me again. I don't bother to pick up, especially after what many people have said.

800-975-0791 called, answered the phone (they have called twice today already) person was selling San Francisco Chronicle subscriptions. I had requested to be taken off their list sometime back, they still call.

These clowns have been calling my cell phone for weeks. It rings once, maybe twice and hangs up. I have tried to answer so that I can give them official notice to stop calling me, but there is never anybody there. If your phone is on the do not call registry for more than 31-days, they have a complaint form you can fill out on line. If you are not on the registry but you have been able to tell them not to call you, you can also file a complaint if they continue to call. I have put my cell number in the registry and will complain as soon as possible. https://www.donotcall.gov/

I wish I had a Chronicle Subscription I could cancel!! They are probably contracting this out to some _______ telemarketer: they should feel my pain.

didnt see them but looked after. i was called by the same number about 10 other times and i just picked up and hung up every time.

The guy was so folksy that I was very skeptical.  The deal was a great one ($18 for a year of Sunday papers), so I went for it. When the supervisor came on to verify my information, it sounded like he just passed the phone to her.  Very odd.  I think it is legit, but that the Chronicle contracted out to a rather unprofessional company to do the calls.  So far, no unusual charges on my credit card.  If there are any, I'll just call and have them removed. Hopefully I just got a great deal on the newspaper.

This number keeps calling me.. and it really bothers me!!!

This number has called my everyday for the last four days. All have been in the morning while I have been at work so I haven't had a chance to answer. I was planning to call the number back today and find out what they keep calling for but after reading all these posts I'm not going to waste my time. Thanks for the heads up.

Got a call maybe 4 times within a day, i answered to say not to call back or i will file a complaint but they just said "hello hello" it was pretty noisy on the other side, so i don't know whats up with that.

Since 3/9/10, have received 3 phone calls from this number.

2 calls in 3 days. I answered second time and call was hung up after 7 seconds. I blocked the number

Called my the 6th at noon, 6:40 and 8:40 to my direct work line.  I didn't answer and there was no message left.  I called it this morning blocking my ID and it was the SF Chronicle.

I live in Costa Rica, but I have a Skype-In Number with a San Francisco telephone number assigned to it... I just got the call!

I have benn getting calls from this number for 5 days now at work. They never leave a message. They call twice a day.
