What time of day did you call?  I've tried various times and no one ever seems to answer the phone and I'm calling from Canada.

Yes, I got charged the $29.95 ordering through a grant program supported by the federal government.  It must have been a box I did not uncheck. My credit card company is pursuing it but I must contact them first.  Does anyone have debt (ch)eaters number.

I just called there and cancelled.  Waited about 5 min., woman was nice, says I will get a full refund and gave me a conf. #.  I was surprised at her willingness to help.  Now we'll see if it really comes through in the next 3-7 bus. days.  The # I had was:  801-222-5269

Same $29.95 charge for debt eaters here. Appears related to the order of acai weight loss stuff. I will say that when I got thru to debt eaters on the phone 801-222-5269 they were very pleasant and refunded the charges w/o argument. Good lesson to be very wary of internet specials and promos.

My credit card was fraudelently charged $3.85 on 1/13/09 by Grants are easy.  This charge along with 8-10 other fraudelent charges were made on my credit card from 1/12 - 1/14, at which point I reported my cc# stolen.  My credit card company advised me to call the merchant to ask them to cancel services, credit back my account and find out how I got signed up.  I just spoke to Braden who cancelled my acct, provided a cancellation confirmation # and submitted a request for refund which should be processed within 7-10 business days.  He said the charge of $3.85 (plus additional $64.43 which was denied b/c I had already cancelled my credit card#) were the result of an online request for a free cd.  I never made such a request.  2 vendors down, 3 to go.

I just got thru to a very nice person who canceled my account after finding it under one of my phone numbers and also gave me a cancellation number.  Call 801-222-5269.  Now I'll have to wait til next month's credit card statement to see if it really happened!

Did you ever get your refund?  I had ordered the "free" Acai Noni supplement in December for $5.95 and after I received it in January I personally called these people and told them emphatically I was not interested in any monthly debit for monthly supply of vitamins, etc.  I asked that no other strings attached and they flat out lied and instead are charging my checking account $29.95 per month the last 3 months and I just found out.  I cancelled my card and the pending charge they will not get for this month.  Seems like the US Attorney General should be notified about this company scamming innocent people.

The numbers to Debt Eaters is (801) 765-5879 and (801) 222-5269.  I've been scammed too and cancelled my credit card so they cannot continue to debit my account.  You might want to do the same thing.  Good luck

I didn't get a phone call, I think it was somehow tied to a free sample I ordered on the internet.  I was also charged 29.95 by this DebtEater company.  Luckily it was on a credit card that has a policy that unkwown charges are reversed.  I spoke with them yesterday and they reversed the charges.  After 2 hours of calling the 8012225269 I actually got someone on the phone and they said they would refund all charges.  They wanted to put me on hold to get a confirmation number, I told them no, I had been holding for too long as it is and would prefer for him to stay on the phone and give me the #.  I kept him talking and he finally gave me the conf # and said it would be refunded in 7 to 10 business days.  I guess we'll see how it goes.  Whatever you do, don't let them put you on hold.

I saw two unauthorized charges to my credit card about 10 days after ordering a "FREE" Government Grant CD on-line. I placed both in dispute with my Credit Card company, filed formal complaints through the Better Business Bureau and my State's Attorney General, email'd my local TV station to ask them to do a story on this and get the word out that this is a scam. I have called and cancelled the "Service" which I never signed up for in the first place, received a confirmation number and a promise that the refund for one charge would be credited back within 5 business days. The second I'm still working. Closing your account to open a new one may be the only option, but you might not get the same line of credit or interest rate on a new account even if it is with the same financial institution! This is criminal!

Continuation to my last posting... When I filed a complaint through the BBB, their system identifieed the company by their phone number as "EZ Grant Pro" at 1914 East 9400 South #433, Sandy, UT 84093-3002. I have not been able to confirm if this is a valid address or company name, but thought others may want the adress to send mail to...

No phone call, just notified $29.95 was taken from my bank account, apparently through my debit card.

Tried calling the 801 222-5269, thinking I could talk to someone and find out what this was about. I was put on hold/elevator music forever. Then googled, and found this site and discovered I had been ripped off.

I received 2 different phone calls from this number 801-222-5269- I didn't answer because I wasn't aware of the number.  My husband told me to call it back and see what it was all about- I did and it was some foreign guy that I could barely understand.  I said "wrong number" and hung up.  What do you know- I had a charge for $29.95 on my bank account today.  I am filing a dispute with my bank and I have to cancel my debit card now and get a new one!  This is such a pain!  I also had ordered a grant CD a few weeks ago and called to cancel the trial and explicitly said that I did not want any thing charged to my account and they assured me that nothing would since I canceled within the trial period.  It is all a big scam to get your number from your bank account or credit card and screw you over!
