There are lots of options here but AT&T is their ISP.  Might be using a wireless card.

Someone picked up the email from 'bannermangordon@gmail.com' at this IP address: 98.196.0.210 (at 6:13:07 AM PST).  The ISP is Comcast Cable out of Houston...

Disclaimer:  It's possible to spoof an IP address but I don't think these guys are that sophisticated.

Hi! Just found this link and yes, it appears to be the same scam happening in Georgia!!!! Found what I thought was a deal on Craiglist and there are actually cars with similar make and model going for lower price in my local region. This one appeared to be a newer make for same price and the ad was from someone claiming to be stationed in UK but has the car (suv) shipped to Europe and not register there. Gotcha buddy! I saw that Jeep Wrangler posting on Craigslist... way too good to be true of course, and also in Ephraim, Utah!!! I told him that my work schedule was very flexible and I'd be happy to book a last minute flight to Utah if this was for real, since it's such a "good deal," I didn't mind meeting in person with CASH in hand to test drive and go to a notary to transfer title IN PERSON. I was definitely too smart for him. He kept trying to convince me that shipping was FREE of course!  No way, buddy, I want nothing shipped to my house and I never want anyone knowing where I live.

On another note, my husband and I thought about scamming him back with something as far as fake payment, but that was before we knew there was no actual vehicle. Two wrongs don't make a right anyway, but it would be nice to someday give people like this a taste of their own medicine!!!!

Well well well, I thought it was a scam from the get-go but figured I deserved some good luck and contacted the guy about an 03 or 04 Jeep Wrangler 58K miles, only $4800. Yeah right. I knew it was a scam the moment he said he would ship it, duh! But I've been going along with it for humor (and since I didn't use my real email address either), and I told him I would fly there in person to pick up the vehicle if it was real. I said that the cost of a last-minute flight to Utah is nothing for a deal this good. hahaha loser, Glad I had a little time to enertain myself. I feel sorry for the poor saps that fall for [***] like this. People need to realize that "IF it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." Each and every time, remember this.  :)

But is not the case to reject it! Because this is a great jeep and I never had any problems with it.

Same m.o. 2006 Toyota Highlander. This guy appears to be a con artist. I asked him to verify physical address of his employer and commanding officer to verify his i.d. and he didn't respond.

eBay doesnt have an "Outside" ebay protection program

Most of these vehicles VINs can be googled because they are legit vehicles for sale by there "real" owners in other states. The info is taken and the pictures copy and pasted -then you send the MO or Western Union under their ebay protection program and voila!!!! you are scammed.

Money Gram or Western Union cant be traced- sending a MO or WU is a HUGE mistake.

It's true.  I just lost $4950 to this one.  Stupid Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wish I would have googled the email address before sending my money to London.

I have been conversating with the accussed scammer. He has also been using the name & title: Staff Sgt. Austin May. Lmao!! Selling a 2k4 Tahoe along with over 20 perfect photos & carfax history report. Claims he's stationed in UK. Price was as usual to good to be true so I got help from my uncle (major in cyberspace & cyber attacks for the USAF) and he basically labeled it as a scam from day 1. We sent him a real military DNS # but he never responded to it. All he asks for is YOUR FULL NAME AND FULL BILLING ADDRESS. There is a 99% chance he's reading this and all others. So everyone just be EXTRA CAREFUL and TRY KEEPING YOUR MONEY IN YOUR POCKETS. DO AS MUCH RESEARCH AS POSSIBLE WHEN SHOPPING ONLINE. EVEN IF IT COSTS A DAM PENNY IT CAN END UP A MAJOR LOST

the con artist allnbradley90@aol.com as he calls himself has a 2000 f250 7.4L for sale in dallas area at $4000. he claims the truck is in mint condition and has a lift. his story is he is in the US Air Force and is in trainnig til july 30. says he had a previous buyer but his loan didnt go through and the DAS didnt refund the buyers fee. so he says shipping is free. A FORD F250 7.4L FOR $4000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! will someone let me know if this is a scam. thank you
