I just got my phone with new number less then 24 hours ago and the number 801-484-1107 has called me.  I have only given my number to my mom and one friend so SPRINT is giving out the number!!!!!!!!

We are an ariel application buisness and we are very busy this time of year spraying crops and don't have time for all this nonsence of running to the phone only to get no answer on the other end very agrivating

Im on no-call-list but my caller ID shows their (801) 484 1107 number every day, at different times, no message just asking for me.
I checked their "clients" list and found several organizations I have donated to like Amnesty, Wildlife Fund etc, (not the Met though)but I have not given my phone nr. to any of those - so, where are they getting people's numbers????

I have been receiving daily calls from this number, but don't know why.  I don't have tickets to the Met.  They never leave a message.

MANY calls from this number, calling the caller ID number says it's "Public Interest Communications".  Probably from National Wildlife Federation.  Learn from my mistake:  DO NOT EVER GIVE TO NWF - they will NEVER leave you alone and will give your name to EVERYONE.

Get a call about once a day from 801-484-1107. I answered once and heard Peck/Feck through the static. Otherwise, there is no message. I have registered with the Met Opera website, which seems to be a common thread.

Got "abandoned" calls from 801-484-1107 on 7/8/2008, 7/10/2008, and 7/11/2008.  First I registered a very strong complaint with the AOPA who is the only company on their clients list that I belong to.  Then I registered individual complaints for each of the call with the Federal Communications Commission at https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/consumer.do

Same story as everybody else - abandoned phone calls, probably linked to the Met who used to call me on my cellphone until I told them to stop! Filing a complaint with the Met right now ...

I just called the 703 number as suggested to get added to the Do Not Call List and the woman told me the person that handles that is "out of town". really helpful!

We get hassled by this phone number too. Usually call 3 x a day, relentlessly, for 3 weeks now I will file complaint with Utah AG and ATT, which is my long distance carrier. If these calls are on behalf of the MET OPERA, we have never had anything to do with them, and even if we did, this harassing behavior would certainly result in us NEVER donating to them. We are also on the DO NOT CALL list. I wonder if the MET OPERA executive director aware of this annoying telephone solicitation ?

Have been receiving calls to a cell phone from 801-484-1107 since May 22.  I have have never given out my cell phone's number to any business.

I checked out their client list ... my daughter is a member of Amnesty International and OXFAM.  That's got to be where they got our number.  I just don't answer, and they never leave a message.

this number 810-484-1107 has called me repeatedly for weeks. Very creepy. There's never even someone there and if you return the call you get an answering machine. What works best is to telephone Kenneth Whitaker, President of Public Interest Communications at 703-847-8300 extension 311 and let him know what you think of his company. Good luck.

The irritating call number is 801-484-1107. I reversed two digits. All the rest of the information in my message (above) is accurate.

I wrote an e-mail to Customer Service at Met Opera (metinfo@metopera.org) complaining about the unwanted calls I have been receiving, and received the following response:


Thank you for contacting us.

Please know the number you are referring to belongs to Public Interest Communications, an outside telemarketing company who contracts with the Met to assist us with fundraising.  We regret any inconvenience you may have experienced due to these calls.

We will gladly update your account and remove your phone number from our telemarketing list; however, we are unable to locate your account with the information you have provided.  Please respond with your full mailing address and we will immediately update your account.

We appreciate your assistance and look forward to hearing from you.  Thank you for supporting the Metropolitan Opera.

UGH. They've been calling me for the past three days. I'm going to call Public Interest Communications and The Met Opera. This is ridiculous and they're using up my cell phone minutes to boot!

Thanks to this message sequence I wrote the Met a short note through their web site contact system and got this very prompt reply:

Please know the number you are referring to belongs to an outside telemarketing company, Public Interest Communications, who contracts with the Met to assist us with fundraising.  As you requested, we have removed your phone number from our contact list and you should no longer receive telemarketing calls from the Met.

Please add me to "DO NOT CALL LIST" thank you.

I keep getting this call and when I pick up no one is there.
I do not like it and I do not think anyone else likes it.
Please stop these people.
