Hey idiots.  This is a legitimate call from ebay to people that sell on ebay.

This is actually ebay calling.  It's not a big deal.  The sky isn't falling. They legitimately want people to do well selling on their site.

I did call this number back. It is e-bay and we talked about shipping through them and the % I would receive using there site. I have a store on e-bay and there are  other numbers they use.  They did leave a message on my phone. It is a safe number.

Just because it was a safe number for you doesn't mean it is for everyone. Scammers spoof phone numbers all the time which is why it's wise to never give personal information to random callers.
By the way, if you know to whom the number belongs, why did you look it up?

So we should expect to believe someone with the word "crazy" in their screen name?  There would have been no reason for you to look this number up if it had really been Ebay.  Looks like you are one of the scammers.

Legitamite call from eBay Seller Development. Not fraud or a scam or anything. I googled the # before answering and saw it may be eBay. Upon answering it was in fact eBay notifying me about the upcoming Guaranteed Delivery program rolling out for September.

I'm a high volume seller on ebay.  It's a followup call from when I contacted their customer service from the weekend.  I requested them to call me rather than wait on hold, but when they finally called I had already gone to bed and missed the call.  It was a followup to make sure my original call was addressed, but it was from their call center in India routed through a Utah area code...which is where one of ebay's major headquarters is.

Keep in mind, just because a number is legit, doesn't mean the caller is!

Scammers spoof legitimate numbers to trick people into a false sense of security to answer their calls and attempt to get money or personal information from you.
This is why no one will encourage others to report of legitimate numbers, as they only confuse people into believing it is a legit call when a scammer has called them and they come here to find out about the call.

If it is a legitimate call, then anyone receiving a call would know WHY they got a call from this number, right?
So what would be a reason to come and post about it to a site designed to share information about UNKNOWN callers, such as Telemarketers, Scammers and Debt Collectors?

If your call was legit,  telling about it won't  be any comfort to those who may get a spoofed call from some scammer!

This is definitely a scam.  At first I believed it was ebay and I asked (via email) how I could bulk upload products from my Shopify store to ebay and the guy emailed me back with instructions on how I could download a program called Inkfrog which would enable an Inkfrog employee to share my computer screen (that means I would be giving him access to control my computer).  I have since learned that ebay has an internal mechanism called File Exchange where I can easily bulk upload my products.  I've been using it the last couple of days.  This guy had the nerve to call me many times over the past several days saying he was eager to help me.  I accidentally answered today and explained that I knew he was a scammer because of what I explained above.  Anyone on this page who is saying it is not a scam is one of the scammers!

Claimed to be from ebay, they claimed they need to verify my account and wanted password information and other account information.  I hung up immediately. These are scammers, they want to steal your account information.

This number is eBay, not a scam. This time they called me about the changes in Chrome that will affect my listings and how to fix them. I already knew about the changes, but it was nice they called to inform me and to help.
