- Victim from MA replies to LaurenThe same scam/fraud happened to my last month.
I disputed the charge in my American Express, but still have not gotten money back.
If there is a law suit or complaint against this company, please let me know and include me. - Misty| 2 repliesThis same thing happened to me. I just noticed a charge for $44.95 on my credit card...I'm not sure what approach I need to take on this situation. If anyone has any pointers or any help...please let me know.
sweetchicknal@yahoo.com - MICHELLE replies to djmazz1I had a charge taken out of my bank card of 30.00 and it was a company called Billff.com 610 and I never authorized it and do not know how they got a hold of my card number it was done on May 18th 2009.
- NA replies to MistyI just discovered this fraud today. CSR told me they will not refund the money because it cost them money to set up the accounts (i.e. kickback to realtytrac). They were totally evasive in telling me where they got my information, saying only that they have hundreds of marketing partners and they cannot tell where they got my card information. Complete scam.
- jgiles_2I was been hit by this scam yesterday. My credit card company actually called me to report this charge as an unverified online charge and put all transactions on hold. They recommended me to close the account and issue me new cards, which I did. I was not held responsible for the 44.95 charge and my credit card is opening an investigation into this fraud.
Today I found this site and I'll return to this site if my credit card company's investigation finds any valuable information.
I think a lawsuit should be filed. Is anyone a lawyer in this area ?
I'm including my email just in case a lawsuit is filed and someone wants to contact me.

- mustangReceived a charge on our recent charge card. Did not remember anything for 44.95 being ordered. I called the number listed, ie. 801-705-5325 for clarification. I got a recording saying Real Estate Promotors. I stayed on the line waiting to talk w/ someone. I was on hold for 7 minutes. They did say if I wanted to leave my name and phone number they would call be back. I did not. They DISCONNECTED the phone call.
I had signed up for a Realty Trac free trail. I CANCELLED within 2 days. Yet they charged a fee a month later.
I called my credit card company told them I did not know what this charge was for.

- BrokerMarkWhat a scam!!! I just found 10 charges from Realtytrac/REpromo after cancelling within the 7 days.
- HandyGramWhat a crock. I just got my credit card statement and I am very upset.
I did sign up for a free 10 day look at RealtyTrac. I didn't see any more than I did before so I proceeded to cancel myself out. Their links would not permit me to do so. Their links would not even let me send an email. I email to support@realtytrac.com and webmaster@realtytrac.com and nothing came back so I am to beleive someone got it somewhere yet they have not cancelled me. I called the number and still not cancelled out and now I have this other charge? No way, I did not sign up for any thing else so this is a very deceptive practice to get money not due them.
I've been on the phone on a Saturday getting nowhere. My credit card company better stand behind me on this or I'll cancel that too.- Caller: realestatepromoter

Don't let these fat heads take your money without a fight.
I am told by each of the companies RealtyTrac and Real Estate Promoter that I am cancelled and my credit card will be credited in 2 days.
Note that if I pay my CC off I can not fill a dispute, so I will have to pay interest on what ever my balance was for last month because there is no way I'm letting these guys off the hook.
For those with reoccuring fees, first I would be screaming, but cancelling the CC would get them off your back.
I'll keep checking my CC to see that the charges are removed.
By the way, it's not a measly $50. It's your money, not theirs.
Someone has to get these guys stopped!- Caller: Real Estate Promoter
- LaurieS88Yeah, same [***] here, RealtyTrac.. I cancelled with them immediately when I signed up over 6 months ago, this is BS.. I just realized they've been charging me 44.95 per month since then.. I'm gonna have their [***] =)

- JessicaGWell, I was charged $59.95 and of course they told me they can't and won't refund my money. I never received an email and will be filing a complaint. I signed up for a trial with bargain.com and canceled the subscription not knowing I signed up for some real estate promoters website. It is very misleading and they claim to send an email but they don't I went back and checked my spam and deleted emails and nothing there from this company. They had so many companies they really couldn't give me any information as to who I signed up with or what company I was supposed to receive the service from. This is truly a scam.
- Kelly replies to Tom ChenaultThat just happened to me the other day. I caalled and told these people that I don't know you, I don't own a home, and I'm not even looking for one! The sells rep said he'll refund me money and cancel the account. DON"T TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER!!!
