I got charged too and need to call back during working hours. I have no intention of paying it at all even though it on my credit card!!!! I am signed up with Realty Trac but never acknowledged this crap!!!

I was charged twice by realty trac.. The best way to stop is by blocking you credite card and getting new one. ITS A FRAUD...

I was being charged $59.95 for July and August 2009 which I found while reviewing my transactions by a company called 'REP00 OF 00' and the above number was on my stmt. I called my credit company and got it refunded. They are taking care of it.

Real Estate Promoter is a partner of RealtyTrac and on the FREE trial offer there is supposedly a small (10pt type) opt out box that if not unchecked deems your consent to be billed for services from RealEstatePromoter.  They do so automatically and provide no further communication with you about this billing or the services for which you are paying.  RealtyTrac says they are not responsible and that users can opt opt, but it's clear that numerous folks including myself were duped by this scam.  Spread the word every way you can.  Hit the PR folks at all the partnerships that RealtyTrac sets ups.  Hit the BBB, Class action?
These kind of practices are just not appropriate.  RealtyTrac should know better.  Real Estate Promoter is not a company to partner with.

I just noticed 8 charges of $49.55 each month on my credit card statement. It started right after the month I canceled Realty Trac free trial period with e-mail confirmation that my credit card will not be charged. I have never dealt with the the 801-705-8325 Real Eatate Promtor indicated on my statement, and I have not dealt with any real estate company except using the Realty Trac Free Trail Period. I never requested or received any service from the company that has been charging me every month.
I will contact my credit card company to dispute the charges and take all possible action - legal, news channels to make the public aware of this. Hope someone who has the knowledge/experience can start calss action.

I got a call from realty trac and I adamantly refused to go into one of their enrollmnts but i got two charges of 45$ on my credit card.  It has just come to my notice.  But I was thinking of getting the call records from any one of the companies if these guys dont return my money.  Plus how can the bank do this without any authorisation.

I got the same charge.  I signed up for realty trac in August 2009 and cancelled it and received an email that I was cancelled.  Then September 29, 2009, a $44.95 charge to my card.   This has to be a scam.  How many other people don't look at their statements?

In addition to Real Estate Promoter, I was also charged by RTI publising, who also got my credit card info from Realtytrac. Check your account statement.

I checked my account, thank goodness!, and found out that these idiots deducted $44.95 from my account.  I HAD looked at a foreclosure website to see if my house was listed.  I DID NOT click on a full page ad as the Rep suggested.  I cancelled the account before the 7 days, but apparently they just ding your account anyway and hope you don't notice.  Sheesh!  What a racket!!!!

Go to TV networks website and file you compliants. Let the media know!

Same thing happened to me.  I cancelled my ReatltyTrac free trial 4 days after I signed up for it.  Call the CC company and report a dispute.  My CC is with Chase and they are investigating and also crediting my account for the $44.95.  Chase is also cancelling my card and issuing me a new one.

I have the same problem too. But I got response on email from "Realty Fack", they sad: "your email, it seems that you are referring to our affiliate, Real Estate Promoter. When new members complete the signup process for RealtyTrac, they are offered a 30-day trial with the Real Estate Promoter website, a separate service.

Never got a call or an email from real estate promoters, just a debit. Called them today and was told I'll get a refund. We'll see. I actually used realty trac for a month and was going to try them for another month. Then I found out about this scam they are allowing real estate promoters to run. I have now called realty trac and canceled, asking for a  refund. I got forwarded four times, on hold each time. The last person said she would submit my refund request. We'll see about that one too. If I don't get refunds within ten business days from either of them, I will next contact my bank and dispute the charges. Wish me luck. Phuc Corporations and their unlimited greed! I wonder if real estate promoters is something like a wholly owned or partially owned subsidiary of realty trac. You know it's all about the money and phuc the stoopid consumer. They're just workin the numbers, they know enough people will let it go and after they refund the ones who don't, they still make a profit.

one way im correcting my charges is doing a dispute at my bank which canceles my card and they will reissue me a new card with a different number.  i got build twice in november. that is money that i need to do necessary repairs on my house that i just bought.

They are doing it again I have the same problem right now. How long will take the police to shut them down.

I just called and got a refund. Granted I stayed on hold for 28 mins before talking to someone. Apparently when trying to take advantage of a free trial (and then canceling it within the 7 days like I was supposed to) there was probably some small writing of where you needed to click to say "no thank you" to some BS advertisement. Because of not clicking "no thank you" I was charged. The lady was very nice and said that she could refund the $44.95 back to my credit card. So for all those that are having a hard time...dispute it until you get a refund, it is possible!! Good Luck!

i recieved the same charges. Two cycles of 44.95.  I called their number that was posted on my credit card statment.  I was on hold for so long and no one ever answered my call, i called several times with the same result. I typed the number into my computer which led me to realtytrac. I signed up for a free trial and cancelled it before i would be charged.  I called realtytrac and they told me that the charge had nmothing to do with their services.  THis is a scam and they are collecting peoples credit card numbers.  I cancelled my credit card in order to block the number and filed the charges with the credit card company under fraud.

This company and their practices are complete @#$%!  I noticed that I had been billed $44.95 for the past 3 months (stupid me for not staying on top of my money).  The billing party was reflected as “8017055325REPR0 1350 E FLAMINGO".  Like many of the people who've already posted on this message board, I googled the number and found this forum.  I called the phone number and waited on hold for about 10 minutes.  Finally, a "customer service rep" named Chris answered and tried to spin this as an oversight.  Oversight my ass!  

This crap started when I signed up for a "free 7 day trial" to realtytrac.com.  I opened the account on 9/30/09 and cancelled on 10/5/09.  The cancellation was well within the 7 day "free trial" period.  I even received a cancellation confirmation number from realtytrac.com (aka, realestatepromoter.com).  

According to Chris, the cancellation confirmation number that was provided to me was bogus and not the actual confirmation that realestatepromoter.com provides.  Secondly, Chris advised that my billing information and consent to be billed, was authorized unbeknownst by me when I signed up for the "free trial".  

Bottom line is that my credit card has been credited for two months of the charges ($44.95 x 2).  For the third month, I had to submit an email request to the realestatepromoter billing department.  

These people are scammers and need to be shut down.  If you call, have all of your information available.  Also, ask for last names and who you or your legal representatives can escalate to.  Good luck!
