- dfowensbymy wife gets these, also through AARP/Consumer Cellular. AARP is always looking to make a fast buck, so your name and (at least) birth year, and phone number are out there on telemarketing lists for MediCare insurance, burial, etc. We just go to the cell folder and erase the number and message.

- rogerthat| 1 replyI don't know anyone in the 805 area code. They called this morning and left a blank message, so they are likely criminals and definitely up to no good. Big thanks to the good people that maintain 800notes.com (and their sponsors).

- Alice replies to SidThat depends on your phone or service company. I had to update my phone becsuse Consumer Cellular was upgrading their service and would not work on my old phone. I selected their least expensive flip phone (which was free with their special $35 off) and it does not have the block call feature, and that was according to their agent.
- Alice replies to LuciI called FCC and they said to call the FTC (Federal Trade Commission). You can submit a report either by phone or online.
- LeeThis number keeps calling me (cell phone) even though I am on the DO NOT CALL list. It shows I have a voice mail and when I pressed to here it, it says to leave a message. No name on who it is. I did leave them the message to never call me again, but it does no good. I have one of those block apps and I have added the number manually because it does not show up on my call log and that has not done any good. I am a T-mobile and Consumer Cell customer and I am going to call them today to tell them to get rid of those phony "voice mails."
- Caller: unknown, did not say except to leave message
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Grassquatch LawnsThis is all quite hilarious. The the Consumer Cellular customers: this is your voicemail number. It calls you when you have voicemail and leaves you a reminder (can show as a missed call or seem like you got hung up on). That's why after "it calls repeatedly" you coincidently also have voicemail waiting. Lol. To anyone else, these systems glitch sometimes and call erroneously. Also, it seems voiemails with red flag words or phrases can be put into a queue for security review by the government then if it's nothing you get the message mysteriously late. Out of countless emails, the only one that ever came 2 days late just so happened to be one where someone was describing someone's concern about a disturbed individual, and sensitive phrases I'd look for if I was in the NSA or CIA like "really scaring me when he gets like this" etc. I actually am a fan of this.

- Marybeth| 1 replyAs a Consumer Cellular customer, I've received 14 calls from this number in the last 2 weeks. Nobody has left a voice message but sit silently, using up minutes. I was close to going over usage last billing cycle (which they said they would automatically "upgrade" me to the next level) They don't offer any call blocking for my phone which pretty much everyone does. Guess I'll be looking for another carrier since this repeated annoyance can't be avoided.

- J. BeyI just received a vm that had over 3 min of over hearing tv and rustling no message.
- Caller: no talking
- EleanorCalifornia number I do not know them.
- Patricia Rodgers| 1 replyI keep getting this call and have answered it once or twice. There was no one there. I now just delete it.
- Merry| 1 replyThis #, 805-637-7456, is actually your own cell's voicemail number. The company calling you is using your own voicemail number to "mask" their number. My voicemail has an option to show me the voicemail "header" which gave me the actual phone number, which I called (very nasty people) and that is how I found out who was calling me. It's a 3rd party debt collection company named Receivables Performance Management 20816 44th Ave. W, Lynnwood, WA. 98036 PH: 425-372-5305, 425-412-2600, 866-212-7408, 888-452-9175, 888-838-5123. www.receivablesperformance.com . BLOCK all these numbers in your cell and this should stop the calls. I blocked them and haven't gotten another call since. I also placed a National DO NOT CALL complaint.

- Teresa replies to RonIts easier to just block the numbers you don't want calling you. Just saying!
- DouglasI do not know who this caller is but they have no right to call me and I want them on my no call list
- JbMy phone claims I called 805-637-7456 10 times in the last few months. I use the phone almost exclusively for texting. I only noticed this supposed usage yesterday. So far it hasn't cost me any money but it is super annoying. How can they do this?
