Its capital one and they did axially leave me a msg. I do have an acct with them, but I pay on time. I will call then later to fin out why they keep caking.

I have an account with Capital One, but I do not have a credit card with them and I do not owe them any money. I got a call from the number in question this morning, and they asked for me by name, when I said "speaking, the person on the other end said thank you and I kept on saying "Hello" and no one answered. When I called back the number, I found out it was Capital One and the recording asked me to key in my account number. I became highly suspicious and hung up. The fact is that the number they called me on is a new phone which I have never given to Capital One or any other institution for that matter. However, they know that it is my number, because they asked for me by name. Scary to know that I am a target of some scam.

I like when u answer and its a recording saying"please hold yo have an important call on the other line".. no i dont bc i dont have  credit cards.. STOP calling me 7 days a week!

I keep getting these calls, they leave a message and when I phoned the number they left, they ask for my credit card number.  Called my credit card co., there is no problem with my credit card. Must be phishing!

This absolutely is a scam. I spoke to a rep at Capitol One & asked if they have any collections department or any other service that uses this number and they could find no record that number belonging to one of their call centers, plus they told me that any call from a legit Capitol One center will have a toll-free area code of 800 or 866. ABSOLUTELY IS A SCAM, do not give these people your information.

Got a call from this number, they identified themselves as Capital One, asked for me by name, then asked for the password for my account before THEY could talk to ME.  I refused to give out any passwords.  They told me to call Capital One, which I did, and they had no knowledge of why anyone would be calling me, and said they NEVER ask for passwords over the phone.  THIS IS A SCAM.

get this # called every day even after 8 pm. never answer the phone, so annoyed.

The caller told me she was from Capital One and that I was overdue on my payment (I am not).  She wanted me to do an automatic transfer of $215.00 from my checking account.  This is a scam - do not send these people any money and do not give them your bank info.

When I didn't answer the second time, they left a recorded message.  Something about a business opportunity with Capital One.  We signed up for this card because of an overseas trip we took (no international fees).  I certainly hope these calls do not continue now that our GM Mastercard has been bought out by them!

Okay, now I see some of the others posts about this being a SCAM.  Yikes!!!!!!!!!!

got the message I do not have account or card and it is capital one, called the 1-866-953-7906 and get capital one and I tell them remove my number since I do not have account with them.  I have filed bankruptcy so I hoping the calls stop but it pissed me off...

I got this call too i screen my call i was googleing this as it called i got a v-mail sounds like the lady was takeing a [***] eccos and far but she was just say 866-953-7906 cap 2 so it says he was a white boy i just hung up after he said capital one can i get your name i told him dees nutts and hung up..

I live in Tampa Fl and guess what?? Capital One has a huge site here...google it genius....off Henderson Rd in Tampa ....you are wrong its a legit number.....Idiot

Capital One is also in Richmond, Mclean VA, 2 cities in the Phillipines, India, Taigard OR, Salinas CA, Texas, Colorado, the UK and you happen to be correct about Costa Rica....You think a CO this huge is ONLY in Costa Rica??? lmao....read about them they actually were in the news for bringing so many jobs BACK to the U.S.

Thank you! I just got a call like this one. Very weirdly worded and it is from LINDA. Thank you I won't be calling back. I have an auto pay with Capital One and they set the due date and the withdraw date. Surprise, my May payment was considered two days, yes only 2 days late and they fined me $25. Um how can a payment that they set up and they arranged be late? Scam!! I'm so pissed but I don't want to cancel my card as it hurts your credit rating for at least a year. I hope she finally stopped calling you...

I was called by this company today.  It seems like a scam from a company that claims you've won a free security system... they could be phishing for information.

This number has been calling my cell phone daily.  Now its calling my work phone and the receorded voice says "Hold for an important message".  Who is this and how do we stop these calls!!)!(**^!^#E)^!#E!!@
