I used to work for L & D Marketing
they are simply a marketing research company conducting a survey
if you don't want to participate in the survey you just simply tell them to take your name off the list..
as for wives having a problem when they call for your husbands we are only supposed to conduct the survey with ONLY the person who's name is on the survey

continuously calls but leaves no messages.  If you call it back, no one answers.

June 20, 2008, about 11:00A.M.  -  Phone rang, but I didn't answer.  No message was left.  I am on our state's no call list (Indiana) which I think puts me on the national list.

So why do they call numbers on the do not call list especially if "marketing research" means "we want to see if you'll buy something"?

there is no do not call list for businesses.

Florida is encapsulated by water.  There are many bays, like Tampa Bay.

Called from this number today. I picked up. An automated voice immediately said "Thank you, please wait for the next available agent". I waited about 15 seconds then the line disconnected. Is this just a nuisance caller?

called and asked for my dad by his first name ONLY. I said he wasnt home can I take a message, female voice said there is no message thank you.

caller id showed # up on my cell phone.No voice mail left.Someone should call the answering # ,record conversation,then report and forward recorded conversation.Maybe I will try.I can convert to a MP3 to forward in an email.Anyone know website to forward complaints?

Just got a call from these losers.  Caller ID showed L&D Marketing.  Some girl asked for the owner and butchered his name.  I asked what it was regarding and she snapped it was a courtesy call.  I told her to put my number on their DNC list.  We shall see if they honor that request.

Rang my cell phone, lady announced who she was with, curtly told them to take this number off their list it being a cell phone.

Someone named Ryan called my place of business and asked for one of the company owners by name...  Was very rude and would not leave a message..  Took down L and D Marketing and (813) 899-1569 from Caller ID.

Passed the info on to the owner...  very annoying...  These people need to be stopped.

I have also been harassed.  They even have figured out how to circumvent call block.  I have tried to add the number to my blocked call list and get a message that the number can't be blocked.

DO THIS:

1) Call their other (unpublished) number, 813-899-0717 and tell them to remove you from their database.

2) File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau at this link:

This number 813-899-1569 rang line 2 at my business 3 times and on the 4th ring, it was ringing line 1 at the same time. By the time I got to a phone, line 2 had quit ringing, then line 1. The number appeared on line 1 & 2's caller id at 11:20am, 10/31/08. This has happened in the past with another caller, so I suspect that my business information is being sold by former or present telephone service providers - McLeod USA, QWest, Paetec or Bresnan Cable (Line 2 is unpublished and is not given out, and is not even close in sequence with line 1 number).

called many times, left no message, I will not answered unknown numbers with no message.

This company called on 12/4/08 and asked to speak to the boss. I retrieved the phone number by *69 to find out who was calling and then I looked them up on the internet. They don't state their name or anything when they call just ask for who they want. I informed the caller that he wasn't in and asked if I could take a message for him. The female caller informed me that "the person calling him would call him again and they didn't want to leave a message.  We don't have any idea of who these people are nor what they want.  It's a real aggravation to have to constantly deal with these type of calls.
