I didn't answer it, but I received a call from that number at about 1AM.  I'm not sure that would suggest telemarketer, but since I had just called my bank to report a card stolen, it does make sense that they might have called back?  Fifth Third Bank maybe?

I no answer phone any more. These people are ruining my life.

I just got a call from this No. 813-899-1569 they hug up when I answered the phone. on caller id is a false number reported to FCC 7/30/2013

We have received several complaints on this Number.
This Telemarketer is apparently in Florida, Hillsborough County, Tampa Florida

The effort required to file a complaint is huge and punitive. Perhaps the government wants to make sure, but, not worth my time.

This number has been showing up on my caller ID for 2 months now.  They never leave a message and if I'm home when they call, I just pick up the phone and hang up on them. but they keep calling after 2 months now.

In spite of people claiming this number was disconnected, it works if you call it back.  I did not quite catch the name, but it was something "Marketing".

Essentially, they called, I did not answer, and when it rolled over to Google Voice, it marked it as spam.  They left about 4 seconds of silence on voicemail, a dead giveaway that its a telemarketer.  Anyhow, its blocked now.

Called, got "Rachael" was very rude to her, and ordered them to never call my number again.

If they do, I am just going to sue them pro se, accuse them of harassment, and ask for punitive damages.

Calling someone to hang up on them fits the definition of telephone harassment. Since that is all they do, I would suggest everyone who has been contacted by these scum do the same.

ME: What does "L&J" stand for?
L&J: I'm sorry?
ME: What do the letters L and J stand for?
L&J: I'm not sure.
ME: You're not sure what the letters in your company name stand for? Is it the names of the founders? Or maybe the partners?
L&J: I don't think they stand for anything.
ME: I'm sorry, you're calling me from a company whose name doesn't stand for anything?
L&J: I could ask somebody...
ME: Please do. Please call me back when you know.

[They have not called me back.]

They called on my business line.  I simply entered "813" in my Digitone Blocker.  Now the ENTIRE 813 AREA CODE  is blocked.  They can change their phone number but if ANYONE calls my office from the 813 area code, they are blocked and my phone will not ring.

Buy a call blocking phone or device - they're inexpensive and they work!

I am so tired of them calling and calling it gets old. Finally today I answered the phone and nothing but music was playing there was no one on the other end. It was like they had me on hold. I am sick of it. Not sure if they heard me or not but I told them I was reporting them and not to call again. I don't know it it will work but am so sick of it.

To the rude person who gave you such a bad time - shame on you!   It is a real job and there are companies that use information validly.   It doesn't take must to be kind and ask to be removed.   When you simply hang up, the predictive dialer considers you a "good number" and you stay in the que.   The people who encourage you to simply hang up are doing you a disservice.  

I for one appreciate this person taking the time to assist and feel the rest of you who wrote such rude remarks should have to spend just one week in a call center.   It would most certainly change your tune.

As for the DNC registry, it is exactly that.   A registry but as the gentleman referenced above, read the fine print.   The only way to stop getting these calls is to either add a call blocking feature or answer and politely ask them to please remove you from their list.  

Let's work on a little more patience and kindness towards our fellow man/woman.

Why should we "work on a little more patience and kindness" towards people who are breaking the law by calling trying to sell us something we don't even want?  The DNC is precisely to stop telemarketers from calling.  Yes, if someone calls for surveys or charities, they are exempt, however they still have to abide by the DNC if we tell them to remove us from their call list.    If you are sooo appreciative of this person's calls, why don't we send all the nuisance calls to your phone number and see how much you like it.

I have a folder on my smart ;phone called [***] which is set to block all calls from these kinds of people. end of story,

Got a call from this number at the hostel in which I work.  Called the number 813-988-5941 back and asked to be put on the do not call list.  Was told I would no longer be called.
