The do not call registry is run by the worst scammers of all - the government.  Don't bother whining to them and begging them to fix things for you.  The best you can ever hope for from them are half-assed solutions.  They don't really care, or want to help you.  They just want you to believe they do.  Check (and contribute info to) sites like this, and block the calls via technological means.  Many phones will do this for you now.

BBB responded to let me know that L & J has NOT responded to my BBB complaint.

Guess you still have yet another bad employee working there. Yup, you guessed it....
Just got a call from the same number and id on the phone.  (L & J Bay Area ) 813-899-1569

Again, the guy asked for the owner, by full name, that died last year.
When I said he's not longer here, can I help you...
He said no, that's ok and hung up while I tried, to again ask to be put on a do not call list or removed.
(I've asked before and I still get the calls anyway)

Whatever calling system you use, ( I assume it's computer driven, based on the time it takes
for someone to actually respond, from the time I pick up and say hello 3-4 times) must not work to well.
Since it apparently does not remove the numbers or update the contact information on your system.  

I don't even know why you are calling here ? I've never gotten that far.

I hope 'you', like to take surveys. Maybe some survey companies will call you, one day.

Maybe you can ask them, to be put on their, 'do not call' list.

You think this will work for you? See if they remove you, from their lists.

Filed a complaint with the BBB, for what good it will do. As they have a LOT of complaints.

But, at least I will have probably, put a smile on reviewers face today....

As, at the end the form asks you " Desired Resolution ".
Here was my response:

"Desired Resolution:     
To have their phone lines cut and world peace.

Well maybe world peace, then have their phone lines cut.
And oh wait, 1 million dollars, deposited into my bank.

Wait, 1st the million dollars, then world peace, and then their phone lines cut."

No one in all these pages of complaints seems to have been able to find out what these people actually want.

They have been calling me for weeks and weeks and I finally answered.

I outright asked what it was they were calling for - here is my summary.

First she told me they were L & J Company.  An investment service the FINDS people interested in receiving information for various "quality investment" opportunities.  Said she had a brief survey and would I be willing to participate.  I told her no but that she could go over the various categories and I would let her know if I had any interest in receiving further information.

She agreed and commenced reading the list of potential investment schemes that might generate a positive response from me which would allow her to send me further information on the category I selected.  

Here is the list she read:

Oil and Gas Mutual Funds
Precious Metals
Green Energy
Diamonds
IPO for smart phones (tech)
Solar Energy
Oil and Gold investments
Medical Smart Card technologies
And one other I forgot

With each category read, she would expand it and throw in factoids like "Green energy is the fastest growing investment potential for the next 20-years"  or "Smart phone technology is an industry exploding with new concepts or ideas..."

I told her none of these investments sounded right for me!  Asked to be removed from the list and further queried why it was necessary to call my house at least 25 times in the past two weeks.  She gave the standard apology for the calls, quickly thanked me for my time and hung-up without addressing any other of my questions.

Maybe now they will stop bothering me but I won't count on it.

Hopefully the BBB people reading your complaint will be SNL/Steve Martin fans!

got a call this morning asking for my husband and when I said he is not available he hung up. We are on the do not call list and these calls are still coming.

Got a call from L & J Bay Area phone # on Caller ID showed 813-899-1569. They were asking for an employee and just wanted to know if they were here and hung up when I told them I would get them for them.

I received a call on my cell phone from 813-899-1569. don't know how they got my cell phone number, but anyway I hung up before they could or would leave a message.
