A Mary Smith called from this number.  When I told her that she wasn't there she asked if there was a better time to call. I said probably around six, but I wasn't sure.  She then asked for a number where she could reach her. I started with the area code...but then stopped when I realized the lady had never even said what company she was from. When I asked her what the call was concerning, she said it was a personal matter and acted vague. She then gave me the 800-316-8064 number to give to my mother.
I seriously doubt that this is a legitimate business.  I've dealt with real debt collectors before and they're always much more clear about their purpose.  What reason do they have to be vague? To not even tell you what company they're calling from, or on whose behalf?
After a lot of digging, I found the website associated with the number. It looks sketchy to me.

They called me today, left a message to call back. Then I called back and asked who were they looking for and what is the name of the company, that chick told me that she could not give me the company name. I told her that she had the wrong person. Lol. And hung up.

Would not give me the company name.

I received a call from them. When I called back, I asked what company this was. She said CSI, then she asked if I received a call? I gave her my number; the call was for my mom. The lady asked well whats her number. I just told her I'll take a message, and the lady said have her call back this number. O.o

I just missed a call from this number at my cell phone.  I called the person right back from the office phone.  A lady on the other end answered,"CSI."  She then put me on hold for quite a long time and constantly came back to the phone to listen if I was still on the phone.

CSI people acted like theives.  Why don't they just send a certified letter, including all the facts or materials, to whoever they want to communicate effectively?

Keep getting these annoying calls on my cell phone.  I told them to stop and  to mail whatever they are claiming to my address.  I have never received anything in the mail but they continue to call endlessly.

If you have an HTC you might be able to just block the caller by cut and paste and it will automatically decline calls from that number.

I received a recorded message  on my land line for my mother, who is deceased. I returned the call on my cell phone. The lady asked, "How may I direct your call?" I told her I was returning her call and did not know how to answer the question. I was placed on hold. Another representative called and asked, "How may I help you?" I gave same reply. She asked for my phone number; I asked for the name of the company; found out it was CSI; I inquired about the nature of the call; she wanted the telephone number; I declined and told her since I didn't know why she called and she didn't know why she called, we probably had nothing to discuss. I hung up.

I keep receiving calls from this company they have been asked not to call and have been directed to the insurance company responsible for payment who says payment has been made!!!

This number calls me ~ 4 times a day and weekends too, before 9 am sometimes as well.

The money they spend could be used to offset anything they may be collecting for or they think I may or may not owe somebody.

They call every day at the same time, leave no message, and when I call back all they say is, "How can I direct your call?". They won't give you any info on who they are or what CSI stands for and I've told them several times that they have the wrong number and to stop calling. They refuse to do so and still call every day.

I have been receiving calls from this number for a while.  What gets me is the fact that I have set up payment plans with my medical facility.  I get irritated when I answer the telephone and I am addressed, "Is this Deb Mitchell or is this Deb."  What the H___ happened to protocol?  I ask, "Who is this," and the person replies with a name like they are a friend of mine.  I thought the person calling is supposed to identify the company, their name and then ask for who they are calling.  Did something change in business protocol that I don't know about?  Sign me "Old School."

You probably have really bad credit, which means you're paying in interest what you're paying for the car. You need to look over your contract and see what your interest rate is.
