Brett, Federal law says you must not call people who are on the Do Not Call list.  There is no need to request to be added to your list.  Since your people are never available when called I assume you already know this.  But I have filed a complaint against your company.  If you think I am stupid enough to email you and provide yet another means for you to harrass me, think again.  And kindly comply with the same law that protects your company when things go against you.

If you filled out a warranty card and gave them your information, that means you are an existing customer.  It is not illegal to contact an existing customer.  Now the vendor is required to make contact with you or you may have contact with them at some point during an 18 month period.  After 18 months, they are no longer exempted from the "customer" status and must abide by the laws for outbound telemarketing.  Just because you are on a Do Not Call or Mail list does not mean if you give your information out to someone that they will not call you.  If you don't want to be called, then don't give your information.  The next time a store asks your for your phone number, don't give it.  They match that number back to your address and contact information for the household.  Contact the Credit Bureaus and ask them to place you a Do Not Mail list.  Don't sign up for things on the internet.  The only way your information gets out, is because you give it, you don't read privacy policies and your general lack of knowledge of how the world turns.

Do not call covers non-customers. This Brent fellow is catching a whole lot of flack. What did he do, tell you how to opt out of their database?  That sounds like a straight shooter to me.  If you bank calls you, are they violating the DNC?  NO.  Don't quote the DNC unless you know what you are talking about.

You know this website has no affiliation with Warrantech?  That this request to opt you out is foolish.  Call the company and get removed; and don't give out your information.

I got a call from Warrentech (817-786-1092) asking if I wanted to extend my warranty on the refrigerator I purchased on behalf of my landlord at PC Richards. I was not interested (since it's not technically my refrigerator) and asked to be removed from their calling list. I have not heard from them since.

I just got a call from this number about buying a warranty for a dish washer that I bought at HH Greg. My "business relationship" was with HH Greg and NOT with Warrantech!  Furthermore I DID NOT fill out and send in the "warranty" card (those things are a lie and are NOT used for warranty purposes but only to generate sales leads!). I'm sure that HH Greg sold them my name, phone number and the name of the item that I purchased. This is exactly why I try not to provide my phone number or other personal information to businesses!

Continually getting calls from this number, need to have number removed

Just fyi, I didn't fill out anything giving your company the right to call my cell phone I don't even know what your company is and really don't care. I don't own a home or have anything that needs to be serviced or have anything that has a warranty. So as far as i am concerned your company is a scam. And by law in which I practice you cant call cell phones. So if I get a call from your company again I will have no choice but to have you investigated.  So I am requesting or I should advising strongly not to call my cell number again.

I have never been a client or given Warrantech Corp or other similar company my information, so they should not be calling me and I have gotten a good amount of calls from them in the last several weeks. If they (or you) really wanted to sell me a product that you thought I would want, because I was "already a client", shouldn't you leave a message?

Do not call me again.  Do not call and hang up.  Do no call and say you were trying to reach me when you werent.  Just do not call EVER!!!!

Surely you guys are aware you don't have tossing up directly with anything from this company to be giving them permission to call. Almost all privacy polices say by agreeing to the pp or terms of service you are allowing whoever you signed up with the privilege of sharing your info with third parties that may offer services or such that you may be interested in. Annoying I know. And should very well be illeagal but it is not. So it is our responsibility to read these notices before accepting. Most reputable companies will tell you in their terms of service or privacy policys on how to opt out.
    I don't agree with nor support what they do. And I too am at fault of not reading those long often contradicting and confussing "terms". But.  It is our own laziness and lack of knowledge that opens the door for this undesirable attention. Banks,utility companies, use of certain website, even doctors absolutely everywhere you are doing business where you have to accept terms of service or privacy policies you could be opening the window for their sister companies or third parties(which could be anybody) for them to contact you.
   I feel like for us consumers it is totally a no win situation. While the DNC list helps companies of all sorts find ways to manipulate the rules.
