I got a call from them stating that I owe DEX phonebooks for advertising with them. One big problem is that my company does not advertise with them let alone they stuck my phone number in their book in the wrong area, spelled the company wrong, and did all this without our permission. DEX is such a ripoff and now they are using these thieves to get their money? Research problems with DEX illegally billing people and you will see what im talking about. Thousands of people having the same exact problem im having with DEX and these thieves called bill collectors.

Received a missed call to my cell phone from a Robert from this number and to call back at a different number. When I tried calling that other number it came up to a different name. I have no idea who these people are or why they're calling me. Called back original number and all representatives were unavailable and there was no option to wait.

I read your note.  It is not illegal for them to call all of your family members, neighbors or even take and ad in the local papers to let everyone know you do not pay your bills.  Iwould just pay it instead of crying about it on an anonamous board online.  Why didn't you just call the company and complain or better yet pay your bill?

Got a call. It's a scam. I owe no money to anyone other than my credit cards, and they are all, and have always been, current. They're fishing based off your income or something. I'm certain it's some kind of scam.

I'm guessing that you wear a little yellow helmet and ride in a small yellow bus along with the other folks that have drool running down the side of their mouth. Everything you asserted is WRONG.  It is illegal for them to discuss your alleged debts with anyone but the debtor. If the matter has not been adjudicated it is an alleged debt and must be proved that it is owed.  Here are the facts: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre18.shtm

Please go to www.creditnet.com.   It is an entirely free website that will advise you on how to deal with these type of collectors.  You, the consumer, have rights.  This company and their employees are in definite violation of the FDCRA and if you report them and file suit, they can be ordered by the court to pay YOU. It takes a little work, but wouldn't it be sweet to see who laughs last!!!!!!!!
And as far as them being able to demand payment from you just because they have your social security number, that is NOT true.  Besides, how would that give them right to be jerks and call you names?  So like, I said, report, file suit and then you collect from them.

Sounds like "call me Daddy" constitutes sexual harrasment.  I would definitely report them, file suit and make them pay you.  Go to www.creditnet.com.  It is an entirely free website that will guide u on how 2 deall with collection agencies.  We, as consumers have rights and we need to start taking advantage of these rights instead of letting collectors take advantage of us.

Mabye if all of you dead beats would take off your skirts put on a pair of grown up pants and pay your bills you could avoid these types of calls.
The fact is, If you were placed in this office you owe money and have already been in collections.
Look up the CLLA, C & W sues, we have attorneys and we send out letters to specify just that.
If you ignore the letters and calls, its your problem for being such a debtor that you take the time to google a phone number and then post on this site to see who called you, professional debtors!
You deserve to be spoken to like the true dead beats that you are, call the telephone police, report the company all you want because at the end of the day, you owe money and we will take you to court and we will see our clients money and all your doing is making it worse for yourself. On that note just man up and pay your bills.
