I got called from them a lady left message claim I had a collection balance for my ebay account and I return call to 818-251-1714 which she couldn't tell me my ebay user name and more information what I told her she need to give me more information before I pay for any unpaid balance if there areany...  she start upset and told me she will cancel my ebay account and which this is only for $126.21 and I call Ebay back ask for the detail my account is in good standard and no balance was send to collection. Give the phone number and on my caller ID show call was made from 818-347-2700. Ebay will follow up what is really going on. Every one becareful per Ebay few people already paid to them since it is a very small amont everyone should make sure before pay.

Got a call from this number. A Pam left a message. I had my Identity stolen 4 years ago. There was over $45,000 reported delinquent on my credit report.  I have never even had a credit card!  I only found out when I was about to buy a house.
Anyway - I reported every last account and after a year of phone calls , rude collections people - I couldn't take it and I actually paid off most of the debt.
Now- it looks like there are a few straggera that have been popping up. I can not and will not pay for something that i did not do.
I was going to call this company and find out what the current claim is but after reading these posts as well as a post from the company themselves- I will just hand it to my lawyer. I can't speak for everyone but I think this company needs to learn my Mama's advice: you catch more flys with honey than with pissy vinegar. There is no need to be rude to people.

1. collectors can only use the information provided by you to attempt to collect a debt.
2. collectors will lie about anything to try to get money
3. collectors are blood sucking leach's
4. credit card companies (if there was such a thing, cant think of a better word) would be the devil
5. refer back to rule number through 5, repeat each step till you get the hint

p.s. bill collectors can NOT call cell phones by the way, its in breach of harrassment laws, look it up, i had to learn this stuff when i went for my loan officer license.... and btw dummy... collectors can NOT put personal information in an ad like that, that's called defamation of caracter... trust me i have made alot of bill's disappear because companies try to pull that crap with me....

The company is called Caine & Weiner 21210 Erwin Street Woodland HIlls, CA 91365. My mother received a phone call from a Vanessa Ellis. She was very rude to my mother and she is 90yrs old! She was very much worried and stressed from this phone call. The phone call was about an unpaid Pitney Bowes account. I am planning to sue both companies for emotional distress on my mother's behalf, I am an attorney.

Received a call from Denice. Not rude on the return. Asked for situation and listened, though she was not happy with my answer, she understood the process. I myself used to be a collector and am aware of the laws and regulations. In this case it did seem legit.

That's consumer credit.... not commercial.
Pay your bill like a good boy, so the rest of us don't have to.

do they harass people so if i were to call them and ask them questions why they love their job every five minute would they like it

i was getting calls from LA times and i kept telling them that ive been in cleveland since december and they keep telling me that ive owed them since november.... i told them they need to lose my information cuz i was getting pissed.  4 weeks later i get a call again and i told em that i just recived this phone number.  they stopped calling for about amonth.. i just got a call from 0000000000 and they asked me to call back at that number. and i said there wasnt anyone by that name. they asked if i could have me call them back at a different number.

w.e. its quite annoying....

LA times can suck it. plus.. who even gets the paper anymore? i get my news from the internet...

They are collecting for Arrowhead water. I tried to paid them what I owe, but they refused the money because I did not include their fee in my payment. They what 100 dollars on top of what I owe. They are extremely rude and will talk to anyone about your personal business, they call my place of employment and talked to a co-worker about my bill. They are looking at a lawsuit.

If you have so much money you pay it! Not everyone is loaded like you obviously think!

Based on my Google search it appears that they were an animal rights law firm, didn't make enough money and are now trying collections. They have called several times asking for many variations of a name, looks like they are just fishing. Anyway it looks as if they are collection pond scum so treat them accordingly.
I think it's funny that these collectors actually post on this board, obviously anyone saying pay your debts is the collection agency because other people on this board are just irritated with the harassing calls trying to find out who they are.

If you paid your bills, you wouldnt be getting collection calls. People like you are hurting the economy. suck it up and be responsible for your debts.

You should sue them I work there and I know for a fact that Pitney bowes doesn't allow us to sue their accounts so if vanessa was threatening legal action you have t least one causof action.

Some rude debt collector by the name of Jakj Grant.  Likes to leave rude messages on answering machines.
