- lv| 1 replyhad two calls from the same person Annie Garcia. could hardly understand her. very bad accent. sounded like frank and associates. One call was from 832-225-1147 and the other from 713-900-1842. I looked up frank and associates and found jonathan c frank and associates with an 832 area code. I called the number and they had my name just by the caller ID I guess. the person I spoke with last name was King. he wanted my social security number. I told I wasn't giving any information unless I knew what it was about. he said he needed the info because they already had one man call claiming to be someone with my name. I'm female . I refused and he was very rude and threatening saying "okay, sit back and relax and wait for your court papers"

- Tonya Woods| 1 replyCalls multiple times a day !! Says he's from law firm. Says he has A claim against my SSI
- Caller: Law Firm
- BigA replies to Tonya WoodsWell if he really was from a "law firm" he would know that SS benefits can't be touched by debt collectors for normal debt. They can be taken for taxes by the IRS or State. They can be taken for student loan debt. They can be taken for actual court ordered payments such as child support. Nothing else.
- BigA replies to lvWell known debt scammers around here. Hope they got flooded out really good. They are a real bunch of scumbags.
You need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation (by law they have to go back to the original creditor to prove you owe the debt) letter (think of it as the best $6.59 you ever invested). Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it. Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter. You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to. Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment. If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it. Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front): http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

Everything else you need to know follows including at least two agencies where you should report their criminal activities.

Web site lists him as an attorney that also does debt collection and gives an address that is probably in a virtual office:

BBB gives him an F rating with 4 complaints: https://www.bbb.org/houston/business-reviews/ ... ton-tx-90041144
There is no LLC registered in Texas or any other state for that matter which would preclude this enterprise from legally conducting business, which a “lawyer” should know. Suddenly they are now registered in several states:
Bizapedia has this on their Texas registration:

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
