Received a call from James Franklin, "Special Investigator", stating that I was named in a complaint that required a court appearance. He left a case number and said that a restraining order will be issued against me and he recommended that I contact my attorney since a response was needed in 24 to 48 hours.  At the end of his message he wished me good luck?.  I looked up information on the number 202-738-4836 and will be happy to turn them in to every agency I can.

A message was left on our home phone with the same threatening message that there was a case pending in some county where we don't live, left a case number to call Sheila and a reference number. My husband is fighting cancer and this really scared me, we do have some unpaid bills right now but when I called the number no one answered. I'm glad I look this up before i tried any more, she also said good luck which I thought seemed strange.

Okay, so I have gotten so many calls from them in the past week.
I filed bankruptcy and it has been discharged and I told them that.  They said that US Bank is suing me for fraud.
I am nervous!!  They have my old address and he Kevin Graham read me the first 3 digits of my social security number.
By the comments I am hoping and praying this is a scam but it makes me nervous because they do know so much about me!
UGH, just when I thought I was finally getting back on my feet again this happens!!

My dad received the same message from a Frank Robinson special Investigator and he mentioned something about a restraining order. This a big scam to get money from people who are vulnerable. He called me and I called the number back and I was hold for a very long time I hung up Google the number and found that a lot of people were receiving similar messages.

I have the exact same message from a Kevin with this company today, May 4, 2011, on my machine (court date, restraining order and left a case # and a toll phone832-390-2131 number to call back).  ( googled # = Transcontinental Processor Servers)
Last year we had a problem like this and my husband was served court papers by one of these "debt" collectors, and now a judgement was filed on his name and our address (they do not have his social ). It is not him; had to hire attorney.
We have had LIfelock for 4 years, and monitor our credit reports -this does not help with these debt collectors fishing for a person with a common name.  We just found that out the hard way-   we hired an attorney and the debt people verified we were wrong person and verbally and in writing said that they would remove us from their list and then BOOM it was on our credit report months later.
We have had to pay an attorney.  Now, they have removed the judgement with attoney's help but we need to have an abstract of judgement removed and it is a time consuming nightmare.  We cannot afford to take them to court and we've filed complaints with Attorney General, BBB but there is no help to stop this.My husband also has a common name.  As of today - I'm not going to have an answering machine any longer,  and then we will watch our credit reports every few months.

My parents received a call for my husband (yeah) from Special Investigator Shannon Cole with a message for him that he needed to contact his attorney immediately and respond within 24-48 hours about a subpoena and restraining order, etc...left a "court case number" and a "good luck."  looked up the number on whitepages.com - comes up as a cell phone out of dallas, tx! what a crock of $#!+. My mom freaked out and called me worried what my husband had done to get a restraining order....lol

Same as everyone else...... just heard my voicemails and had one from a Kevin Graham, special investigator, gave a "Cause No."  and said I was the Respondent in an action filed against me and there was an  "Order To Show Cause" with a restraining order and that I had 24 hrs. to oppose this matter.  Said to give this information to my attorney.  Left the same phone number as shown above and wished me "good luck"!  I was ffffrrrrreeeeeaaaaakkkkkkiiiinnnnngggggg out because I am actually dealing with several matters which could actually end up in court........ one of them involving child and spousal support for which Attorney General's Office has garnished my ex-husband's $5,000.00 income tax return, causing him to become enraged to the point of threatening me with accusations and claims of neglect and child abuse towards my handicapped child if I don't contact Atty. General's Ofc. and inform them that he, in fact, did pay me said shortages in "cash" and I just didn't remember!  Yeah right!!! Like I'm gonna do that!  But also, this guy is extremely "money hungry" and money is the most important thing in his life..... that it scares me to think what he'll do to keep me from getting that money!  He's liable to do or say ANYTHING!!!  Anyway, this is the first thing I thought about when I got this call!!!  I was already fearing the worst!  I called the number back and got the company name from their voicemail and was so scared about what this could possibly be about that I decided to google it (like I do everything) when I want information about something,  and boy I sure am glad I did!!!  You guys don't know the relief I felt upon seeing all these posts!!!!  I want to thank everyone here who has taken the time to post their comments, cause it if I hadn't seen all these, I wouldn't have slept tonight and I probably would have ended up calling the ex and making a complete fool out of myself!!  Thanks guys!!

I got a phone call, as did my relatives, from a Katrina Baker, about the same type of affadavit situation. This was a scam caller but she said she was calling from an attorneys office. I told her that I was "going to pass" and that attorney generals in other states are taking notice of this scam operating nationally.

I received call from special investigator saying I was sought out by a Comapany and charged with fraud.  I would have the embarrassment of being served, etc.  I called the company that I supposedly owed money to and I owe nothing.  I explained this to William Wallace to no avail.  The amounts changed 3 different times, not allowed to have any copies of anything - they just demanded payment.  I was instructed by numerous people not to pay of give any information.  Their comment was they were going to take further action.
I filed a report with F.T.C. which I was informed to do the same.

    angry and frustrated
both my brother and my father have received the exact phone call from a "Mike Robinson" asking for me. I had a debt but the statute of limitations ran out. My friend in debt consolidation told me that these scavenger companies buy old debts that have run out and use all kinds of threatening tactics to get the money. I'm sure there are people who don't know what to do and just pay it for fear of going to court. Don't fall for it. It is a sick world when there are people that actually take jobs like this.

They called back in Feb or March said they filed a restraining order against me.  They have called again in April with the same and this month again and now requested to settle an account that I have already settled paying $6,100.02 last year.  They wanted to settle yesterday one time of $4,000+.  NO WAY!  I called the Attorney General of Texas and they told me to also to contact the FTC.  So I have filed complaints with both.  Trans-C. Process Services can go straight to HELL-o.  I hate this company, law office Trans-Co or what ever they claim to be today, that screw with this a poor retired man with a handicapped wife, living on a fixed income.  I didn't file bankruptcy and paid my bills and I do not have another $4,000+ to be held over my head just cause they want to play games.

My friends who are associated with our adress received calls today for my husband from this company. Telling us that HSBC was suing us for an account we have no idea about.  They wanted $2937.19 from us then settled to $1500 with $105 today and payments after that.  When I said we could do that. I was then advised that HSBC would accept for $1000 with us paying them on 5/21 $200 dollars and 4 more paynments at $200.    Nancy Smith  relayed all this info.  Was unable to speak directly the HSBC about this.   The little part of the account number she could provide did not worl with my records.  This supposed service could not provide any info on ny husband,  no SS#, no DR licsence#, not even a DOB,
Besides all that these people never requeste dot speak with him to give permission to speak with me on his behalf,  The call ended with Nacy Smith advicing me he would receive a supeno to show in court.      These king of people need to be stopped.   I'm very glad I found al of you

"Amanda Parkin" called this morning and told me I am being sued by Chase Bank for an unpaid loan from 2004. I have never taken a loan from Chase, and my credit card bill arrives every month, so they certainly have my correct address. The second person I spoke with said they were unable to serve me in person (they had the wrong apartment number) and needed to reroute to my office. I told her I don't work and she said they will reroute to the correct apartment number. On advice of an attorney, I went to my local Chase branch and spoke with customer service. Chase knows nothing of this "action."

Hello Tricia Morley this is special investigator Samantha Price. I am contacting you in regards to a complaint being filed against you pursuant to claim affidavit number MCL1937 where you have been named a respondent in a court action and must appear. There is a contact on number on file, which you must call 832-390-2131. Please forward this information to your attorney and that order to show cause to pay a restraining order. You or your attorney will have 24 to 48 hours to oppose this matter. The claim and affidavit number is once again is MCL1937. Thank you and good luck.

THAT WAS THE MESSAGE ON MY VOICE MAIL. FUNNY THING IS THAT I AM NOT TRICIA MORLEY AND SHE HAS NOT HAD THIS NUMBER IN ALMOST 2 YEARS. I REALLY WISH THE GOVERNMENT WOULD PUT A STOP TO STUPID CRAP LIKE THIS.

You could hear all of the telemarketers talking in the background. Come on "Special Investigator" really? Who would be ignorant enough to believe that with all of the noise of others giving the same speech in the background. I don't know what these people have to gain by anyone calling back that number but would be interested to find out.
