- MariaMy coworker received a call from two companies related to this number. One was Nationwide Payment Solution. They told her she owed over $10k for an old B of A Visa card, but they would only give her the first 2 digits of the account number. They told her she could go to court over it, but it was in Texas two days later (we are in CA.) She was nervous, and unfortunately gave them her bank account number to settle the debt. When she told me, I told her to go to B of A to see if she had any outstanding debts to them, but she did not. I also had her go to her bank and they pulled her credit reports, which confirmed it was a bogus call. They closed her account for her and opened a new one.
Days later she got a lettter from Trancontinental Process Services in Ohio, stating how much they would take from her account. It listed the 858 number, which is a San Diego area code. DO NOT ANSWER CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER!! She is filing a report with the FCC.- Caller: Nationawide Payment Solution

- Unhappy call RecipientThese folks continuously call my business owned cell phone looking for someone. I have repeatedly told them that they are contacting a business and not to call back. They call with a private number and asked me to call back (832) 390-2131 to get my number off the list. When I call that number, they say they cannot find my information and I need a case #. However since I am not the person they are trying to reach I am not allowed that information. Their representatives are rude and completely unprofessional. When I asked for a supervisor they will not give me any information and got a hand up. I called back in hope of speaking to someone else and the same person answered. She asked me to stop calling and harassing her, HA! I called twice and that is harassment while they call me daily. WOW. I suggested reporting them to the BBB and other sources.
If you are the person they are trying to collect on, I feel for you as they are using illegal tactics to retrieve money and information.- Caller: TransContinental Process Servers

- AnonWe just received a call from "Special Investigator" Tanya Walker, who obviously read from a script and told me that I was named as a person of interest in a court case. I had 48 hours to call her back or have my attorney call her back because a "restraining order" was being filed against me. I found the choice of words like "restraining order" interesting but never the less quite annoying. I called her back, and left a message telling her that I assume as a Special Investigator she must be with the FBI or some government agency and that I would await the court ordered restraining orders before I hired an attorney. I may owe a debt that they are trying to collect on but using tactics like this is illegal and if I need to hire an attorney it will be to close down Trancontinental Process Servers!

- TDUB2I got a call on my cell phone from a "Special Investigator Lynn White" about a complaint against me. She said a restraining order had been filed against me and that I needed to call her back within 24-48 hours to deal with this matter. When I called the number (832-390-2131), I was told "Lynn" was out in the field but that the girl who answered could help me. She proceeded to tell me that a subpoena to appear in court had been sent to me and since I didn't respond (I live in a different state now), she was giving me one last chance to settle this matter before it went to court. The information she had was somewhat familiar, but I could barely understand her while she was eating or chewing gum or something so I asked to speak to her supervisor. She resisted but eventually put me on with a "Jamison Walter". He was a relatively well spoken man who proceeded to tell me he could possibly get the original creditor to accept a settlement offer of about 30% of the original debt but I would need to pay $2500 in 3 days. He said he could not give me the original amount of the debt, provide a copy of my original agreement, or do any of the things the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act of 1977 says they have to do. The whole thing made me nervous but I had the good sense to tell him I'd call him back and let him know what I could do. Then, I googled the company and found this site! Thanks for all the info.

I know that this happened to my elderly neighbor and he sent off one payment until he found out they were a scam. - sickofthis| 1 replyI got the same call and message as everyone else. They even called my husband trying to get in touch with me. Because it said someone had filed a restraining order against me, I called back immediately, prior to looking up the number. They had my name somewhat wrong (middle name and maiden name) and after I confirmed that is was me on the phone, they wanted to verify other info about me. When I told her that I wasn't giving her ANY information without knowing what this is regarding she said she wasn't going to argue with me and hung up.

- SheliaI received the same message Friday, 3:57 pm from Tonya Walker, Special Investigator, only it was for some one named Phenobe Holmes,,,I will report to FTC 877-438-4338 because they are closed today. I didn't listen to my messages until today...had surgery on yesterday and didn't feel like checking messages when I woke up. I am appreciative of this tool--Google---. I agree that with things as they are in our economy we do not need this kind of harrassment plus there should be some form of legislation to stop companies that get by erasing their debt but continuously making money off of consumers who have done business with them during that same period of time. I believe if the company gets to clean their slate, the consumers that have done business with them during that period should have their slates clean as well.. It just frustrates me...thanks for all the comments and advice.

- Department of State Health ServicesUpon returning from lunch, there was a message on my WORK phone for someone we have no idea who it is. When trying to call back the number - they only gave the number as 83239021 which of course does not work. I googled it and it brought me to this site. I have called the number to let them know THIS IS a STATE of TEXAS office and not to call it again, but I was never connected to a representative - they were all assisting other callers. IT is against the law to call State offices and harrass people, especially when the people do not work there, but even if they did, it is against the law. I will be contacting the Attorney General Office as this is getting out of hand.

I telephoned this company. It is the Transcontinental Process Servers, which is a collection agency. The persons in the office, Amber, Joseph Thomas, and one other person, claiming to be in the litigation department. When asked to speak with the chief litigator or attorney of record, they disconnected the call. On a subsequent call, Amber did provide the physical address in Houston, Texas, 1220 Blalock Road, Houston, Texas, Suite 311. Their office hours are 8:30AM-5:00PM. They reported to me that they would contact my employer and they did not want to involve my co-workers; however, they stated that they would. Multiple rights violations. DO NOT RESPOND TO THESE CLOWNS!!- Caller: Transcontinental Process Servers
